Simple Random Sample
A sample in which individuals have equal chance of being selected.
**An SRS not only gives each individual an equal chance to be chosen but also gives every
possible sample an equal chance to be chosen.
**Doesn’t favor any part of the population
Ways to produce an SRS:
a) Pull names out of a hat
b) Random number generator (calculator)
c) Table of Random digit
Table of Random Digits
1: Label. Give each member of the
population a numerical label of the
same length.
