Band Concert
Girls Basketball
Caroline Norman
The 6th grade band is playing in
their first concert in front of
their parents. They are all
excited for the concert and
looking forward to playing on
February 21. It is going to be a
quick concert because they are
new to band and their jaw
muscles becoming tired. The
6th graders have spent the
whole year practicing for the
concert so it is going to be
interesting on how they
perform. The band teacher is
proud on how far they have
come. Jack McInerney is in the
woodwind class and plays
saxophone. He thinks the class
is going to great in the concert
and going to impress every one.
Jack’s said “ the class has up and
downs with something ,but
thinks that they are ready.
There about 30 kids in the class
performing. There favorite
song is Hard rock blues. I hope
the band does well with the
concert, and I wish them luck

position in one game.
8.What game do you most want students to attend?
I think the lake shore game I would want most to attend
because they are our #1 rivals
Alexis Hardison

7th Grade SS
When does your season end?
In 7th grade social
studies we are
studying the Industrial
Revolution. The two
social study teachers
in 7th grade are Mrs.
Hinson and Mr.
Mercereau. The
Industrial Revolution
is a time period where
technology thrived
and has had the
biggest impact on
you today, according
to both teachers.
Many inventions were
made during this time
period like the phone
and the car. Overall,
you should agree that
the industrial
revolution has had a
profound impact on
you.

The best memories I have gotten out of Brawley Basketball were
spending time with the people on the team.

Uber?
Recently two competing transportation companies, Uber and Lyft, have been in the news. This all started
when Uber released a statement from the CEO of the company, stating their thoughts on the recent news
in politics, soon after, Lyft released their views on the situation, disagreeing with that Uber’s views are,
but instead of just posting their thoughts, they decided to donate $1 million to their cause. This has
caused over 200,000 people to delete uber, and resort it Lyft.
After hearing this, will you delete uber or think that people who have it should delete it?
Mrs. Hinson: I think that if people choose
to delete Uber because of their views I
would respect that.
Mrs. Pavao: No, I will not delete Uber
because of this news.
Mrs. Abrams: If a company does something
that you don’t agree with then that is your
right to delete it but as long as you are
deleting it for the right reasons and not
because so many people are telling you too.
Mrs. Holden: I would not delete Uber
because regardless of what they post, they are a good way to travel.
Mrs. Moose: People are very divided about politics, so if it is your belief and you want to show that you
disagree with their policies, taking away their business would be effective.
Mrs. Grindstaff: I do not think you should delete Uber because of this.
Do you prefer Lyft or Uber now that they have both spoken on this topic?
Mrs. Hinson: I think that people should look on the company's reliability for their service rather than
political views.
Mrs. Pavao: I have no opinion towards either.
Mrs. Abrums: I prefer Lyft.
Mrs. Holden: I prefer Uber.
Mrs. Mooose: Uber in the past, but I may start using Lyft now.
Mrs. Grindstaff: I have no preference.
