Job Title: Senior Fundraising Officer
Salary range: £28,000 - £32,000
Hours: Full time/ permanent
Location: Walton-on-Thames
Music in Hospitals is a leading provider of professionally performed live music in the healthcare sector.
Established in 1948, our key mission is to deliver upbeat and therapeutic live music performances to
vulnerable adults and children receiving treatment and care for illness or disability. We are seeking to
appoint a Senior Fundraising Officer to lead our Fundraising and Marketing Department to achieve income
and supporter targets in line with the operational plan.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

A minimum 2 years experience managing fundraising activities.

Demonstrable success in raising significant funds across all voluntary income streams and bespoke fundraising
events.

Proven ability to acquire new donors and growing income through effective donor relationship management.

Experience of organising successful fundraising events.

Excellent networking and communication skills.

Experience of creating successful marketing collateral using print, online, email or social media; handling
relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies

A minimum 2 years experience successfully leading a team of staff and/or volunteers

Solid IT skills including use of normal range of Microsoft Office programmes as well as bespoke database skills

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Experience of producing budgets, business planning and the ongoing monitoring of income and expenditure

Experience of legacy and emotive fundraising is desirable.

Good knowledge of Gift Aid and Data Protection legislation is also desirable.

in a busy environment. You will be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. A car owner
with full driving license is essential.
