Directions to the Theatre
On I-82 Highway, take the Yakima Ave/Terrace Heights exit (from the north exit 33B, from the south
exit 33). Go west on Yakima Ave, towards the city center, continue (approx. eight blocks) to S 3rd
Street, turn LEFT. The Capitol Theatre is in the middle of the block on the LEFT (east). To get to the
load-in doors go to S 4th Street and turn LEFT. The loading dock is located on South 4th Street,
immediately behind the Capitol Theatre.

LABOR
Technical Crew Requirements:
The minimum crew for any event is: Stage Manager/Carpenter, Electrician, Audio, and Flyman. Extra
crew may be required depending on event requirements. The minimum crew call is four hours.
Overtime will go into effect after eight hours. Stagehands are called on a per show basis depending on
the requirements of the event. All crew requirements are specified and approved by the Technical
Director.
Front-of-House Requirements:
The minimum front of house crew will be the House Manager, Asst. House Manager and eleven (11)
ushers. For events in which only the Orchestra section is used, the minimum call will be the House
Manager, Asst. House Manager and seven (7) ushers. All usher requirements are specified and
approved by the House Manager.
Labor Rates and Estimates available upon request.
Payroll Taxes and Accounting:
20% is added to the total gross for wages to cover the cost of employer payroll taxes and accounting.
Overtime will go into effect for all hourly personnel after eight hours. All crews are non-union and
hourly employees.

Shows Requiring Power Hook-Ups:
A permit is required by Washington State for temporary power hook-ups. Hook-up installation and
removal must be performed by a certified electrician. The Capitol Theatre Technical Director will
arrange for the permit and electrician and the cost will be passed on to the renter.
Temporary power hook-ups at the Capitol Theatre must be done in accordance with National Electrical
Code standards as well as City of Yakima and Washington Administrative Code (WAC) rules and
regulations. Please refer to the appropriate authority having jurisdiction if there are questions.
