Make sure that each set of 3 size 15 beads is sitting in the space between each cup of the chain. The back of the bracelet traces the same beads as the front of the bracelet. Sew through the same 5 beads at the side of the ring, pick up 3 new size 15 beads, hold at the back of the bracelet, and sew through the same 5 side beads of each ring. Work in the same manner as step 2 but pick up 3 new size 15 beads and hold at the back of the bracelet.(shown in dark pink) Work to the end. For the wide bracelet, make anther beaded cup chain exactly the same length. Weave a 4mm crystal along the edge of one beaded cup chain. Sew the crystal between the middle size 15 seed bead of each loop. Line up the two beaded cup chain sections with crystals in the middle.Attach the second beaded cup chain by sewing through the same crystals and through the center size 15 bead of each ring. (narrow bracelet instructions on last page) You will notice how the last cup of each piece of chain has no support. To hold that last cup in place: Exit from one of the size 15 beads on the top corner. (front side) pick up 7 size 15 seed beads. Hold these beads diagonally across the center of the crystal cup stone. Follow the diagram and sew into the opposite side bead. Sew across the middle 3 size 15 beads. Pick up 3 new size 15 beads, sew through the middle bead of the first set of 7 beads, pick up another 3 size 15 beads. Sew through the top set of 3 size 15 beads. Follow the diagram to be sure. Repeat this same “cross” on the back side of the bracelet, however begin with 5 size 15 beads only. Repeat on both bracelet ends. To add the clasp: Exit from center bead of top row. Pick up 8 size 15 seed beads, weave into the opposite corner. Pull beads tightly so that thread is not touching the metal ring of the clasp. Weave through all of these beads as many times as you can. Narrow bracelet: Weave a 4mm crystal along both edges of the completed beaded cup chain. Sew the crystal between the middle size 15 seed bead of each loop. Sew back through the crystals again adding 2 size 15 beads between each crystal. Note, depending on the beads you are using, you may find that one size 11 bead works better here. You don’t want the bracelet edge to ripple. Add clasp in same manner as the wide bracelet Copyright: www.thatbeadlady.com
