Dear Parents and Guardians,
Veteran’s Day Celebration at Chamberlain Street School
Veterans from every branch of service joined our staff and students for a special breakfast
and ceremony honoring their service to our country and for the freedom each and every one of us
has. During breakfast they had the opportunity to visit with each other, and some of the students
to share thoughts and experiences.
After breakfast they joined all students and staff outside for the Pledge of Allegiance and
rising of the flag. Principal Campbell reflected on the meaning of Veteran’s Day and thanked all
Vets for their service. The ceremony concluded with staff and students shaking hands and
thanking our Veterans for their service.
While today was a special Veteran’s Day celebration, it is important to remember those who
have served in the past and who are currently serving in our Armed Forces every day. Without
their dedication and courage the United States wouldn’t be the great country it is today.
To All Vets – We are Chamberlain and We Honor and Respect You!
Mark Campbell – Principal
Here is an update of a couple of things the kids have done on Flexible Friday:
This is a picture of students practicing on
presenting their cereal box book reports in
our small group, before presenting to the
general classroom. They worked very hard
on both their projects and their
presentation skills! I'm very proud of them.

In Mrs. Diamond’s 4th grade
class, the students challenge was
to make a tower that would hold
a mini pumpkin 6 to 12 inches off
the ground using only 50 straws,
a paper plate, and a yard of
masking tape.
Universal team T-shirt update!
We would like to announce that our sale of pumpkin-grams was a HUGE success. We raised
$747.00! This was pure profit because the staff donated 100% of the candy and materials needed
to make the treats. We had staff members that spent hours creating, filling out and organizing
these candy grams. Many staff members purchased them for their "family" members. It was a
great way to celebrate our theme of friendship in the month of October.
So if we add that to the $603.00 we had in pure family donations it brings us to $1350.00. That is
so close to our goal of $1600 needed for the shirts.
I am pleased to announce that the ladies of SCHOOL STORE have
offered to cover the rest of the cost needed for the shirts. THANK
YOU!!!! They are so awesome and work so hard at the school store.
They were very happy to give us the money because the money they
raise always goes directly back to our students!
So in the very near future your child will be coming home with a
new chamberlain t-shirt. What a great way to show our pride. And
of course this all comes down to the fact that we are a family here at
Chamberlain. We are proud to be chargers and live by the motto
"we work together".
