The feature breeds reflect the special interests and expertise of each judge:Mr. Nilsson will judge Bearded Collies on Friday, 1st September; Ms. Scott will judge Poodles (all varieties) on Saturday, 2nd September; and Dr.Tesics will judge Afghan Hounds on Saturday, 9th September. • Group and General Specials judging will be in accordance with new ANKC Regulations: Best in Group/ Show first, then Best Baby Puppy, then Best Baby Puppy. · On each day, Best Baby Puppy of the Group, from amongst the breeds shown that day, will be selected to progress to the General Specials judging on Sunday, 10th September. This means that not all Baby Puppy of Breed winners will automatically be required for finals. • Judging on breed days will commence at 9.30 a.m. • Teams will be judged on the relevant breed day by one of the International All Breed Judges; and winners in both conformation and presentation will progress to the final on Sunday, 10th September. Ms. Scott and Mr. Nilsson will jointly judge the conformation final and Dr. Tesics will judge the presentation class. • In order to give more prominence to the class, the daily RA&HS Junior Handler classes will be conducted in the lunchtime interval with the final to be judged Sunday, 10th September • On breed judging days throughout the Royal, benching will be allocated by breed, rather than by individual number. Exhibitors wishing to move outside of this allocation must speak with the Pavilion Supervisor on arrival on the day. On Finals day, large/giant breeds will have specific box allocations. • Close of entries for conformation classes have been moved forward this year to 23rd June (paper entries) and 25th June (electronic). Last year saw the introduction of live streaming for the finals judging and the Committee intends to continue this for 2017. This vision is broadcast online and accessible not only locally, but around the world, so exhibitors must be aware of their appearance and behavior during this filming. Key things to note: • Exhibitors are requested to consider what is suitable attire for finals day • Vision broadcast during the live stream cannot be edited • Please note all interactions between exhibitors and in the ring may be captured – that is, everything that goes on in the ring is potentially on view Good luck to everyone this year!
