As our counterpart in spirituality, our brothers and sisters from Ak’tenamit, Guatemala, leads us in giving gratitude to
the environment and Mother Earth for our livelihood and health before the beginning of major events!

Torch Run
The runners leave Tumul K’in heading to Lubaantun at 4.30 pm. The torch signifying the ‘light of the world’ will be
carried from Lubaantun, through San Miguel, Silver Creek, Big Falls, Dump area, down pass Columbia Junction,
Mafredi ending at Tumul K’in, Blue Creek.

Harp and Marimba Competition
Tune it up to the traditional music of Harp and Marimba at the Punta Gorda Central Park as village team’s battle for
the title as the Kings of Marimba or harp. The top three bands will be competing for the crown at Tumul Kin’s Maya
Day on March 28th, 2010!

Come CELEBRATE THE LIVING MAYAN CULTURE as our extended family from San Luis Petén and Tumul K’in Students
shares their livelihood through dance, music, and cultural performances depicting everyday Mayan life. The event
takes place at the is Punta Gorda Sports Complex starting at 6.30 pm
Entrance is $5.00 adults & $2.00 for children 5 to 12 years old

Sunday wood, Santa Anna, San Felipe, southern highway, dump area, Columbia junction, Marfredi, Blue Creek, and
ending at Tumul K’in Center of Learning. Registration is $10.00
1st Prize- $500
2nd prize - $300.00

compound (tentative place) and witness a game where stamina will be put to the ultimate test at the game of speed,
strength and accuracy!!!

Come and enjoy the game of young men, running with club (a lot like the hockey clubs) desperately trying to manage
a ball blazing in flame and trying to score a goal to win the game. Scream as the flaming ball flies in your direction!!!!
