Project Goals:
 to become more familiar with acoelomate, pseudocoelomate and coelomate body plans
Instructions:
 please read through the all of the Unit 10 Lessons, paying particular attention to
information and diagrams related to acoelomate, pseudocoelomate and coelomate body
plans
 please build three dimensional models for the acoelomate, pseudocoelomate and coelomate
body plans clearly indicating:
o endoderm tissue
o mesoderm tissue
o ectoderm tissue
o gut
o solid tissue, pseudocoelom and/or coelom where appropriate
 please video or photograph your models from several different angles for online
submission
 for each body plan please identify:
o a representative species and give its common name, its scientific name and its
phylum
o one advantage of the body plan
o one disadvantage of the body plan
o Note: this information may be included in the video of your model, as a PowerPoint
slide show that includes the photographs of your model or as a separate word
document with the photographs embedded
