Summer classes have been a HUGE success. We would like to thank
all of our teachers and volunteers for their dedication and hard
work! The last week for the oldest and middle class will be next
week and the youngest class will end the week of August 17th. Students at Camp Learn-A-Lot have taken field trips, improved their
math and reading skills, and learned important sensory and fine
motor skills.
Skydiving with Wendy
Congratulations to our member Wendy Erdman who Skydived to celebrate her 40th birthday and raises awareness for Down syndrome. She exceeded her original goal of $1,500 raising an overall total of $2,3000 for
our organization.
We would like to thank Wendy for sharing this experience with us and all
of the donors. Pictured below is a group picture of Wendy and a few of
the friends that were in attendance during her jump, as well as a picture
of Wendy after she had landed from her jump.
Fall FunFest
On Tuesday August 4th, our office was a part of this years Back to School
Fall FunFest. We worked hard promoting our upcoming Buddy Walk, as well
as promoting our goals as an organization. We were able to speak to many
of the people that were present as well as other organizations. Pictured are

Fall Classes 2015
Planning for fall classes is almost finished! We have a great list of classes,
staff, and volunteers on their way. Documents for registration will be sent
out on the last of Camp Learn-A-Lot this summer. In addition, there will
be a mass email sent out with forms, and they will be posted to
dsabv.org. We are looking forward to fun filled fall semester and hope you
can take the time to get your kids here! Early bird registration will end
Monday, August 31st and the DEADLINE for registration will be Friday,
September 4th. More information is to come, but as always please let us
know if you have any questions.

Harestock 2015
We are proud to announce that we will be one of the beneficiaries of this years Harestock. Harestock is benefit music
festival held every August in College Station, Texas. This year
the festival will be held on August 14 through 16, at the Beer
Joint located on East Highway 30. It will be an all day family
fun event! We need volunteers to man the booth. Check out

Buddy Walk
We are continuing to work hard planning for this year’s Buddy Walk. A quick
reminder that this year’s walk will be held on Sunday, October 11th from
11am-3pm with the walk beginning around 1:30pm. The 12th Annual Buddy
Walk will be at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater. We will have carnival games,
food, animals, raffle items, live music, presentations, and much, much more!
It will be fun for the whole family. There will be a FirstGiving and Social Media Parent Information on Wednesday, September 2nd. Time is TBD. Keep
checking our website and your inbox for updates and please let us know if
you have any questions.
Our next committee meeting will be Tuesday, August 11 at
6:30pm, feel free to join.
