Responsible Management
of Bulk Petroleum Products
Sponsored by Cortland County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD)
This is a free workshop offered to all local businesses, municipalities, schools, and
organizations who use or store petroleum products.
Participants will gain a better
understanding of why petroleum products and their storage are environmental and health
concerns and how proper management can minimize accidents and risks. Since new
Petroleum Bulk Storage Regulations became effective in July, participants will also be updated
on new products covered under the law and other changes.

widespread presence and use of petroleum products and the risk that improperly stored petroleum products pose
to our natural resources. Funding for this program is provided by SWCD through a special project grant.
Presentations are provided through the collaboration and cooperation of the Cortland County Health Department
and the Cortland Fire Department.
