Joanne McGahon - Soprano
Soprano Joanne McGahon trained with English
National Opera in 2003 and was awarded “The Voice of
North London” in, 2006 resulting in a star performance
at Trent Park’s Open Air Prom. Joanne has performed
live on BBC Radio 4 as well as BBC Radio 2 and was
recently voted “Best Classical Artist” in the MMA Music
Awards 2009. As an experienced vocalist and recital
artist, Joanne has performed at various concert halls
and cathedrals across England including Watford
Coliseum, Alban Arena, Woburn Abbey, The Brighton
Dome, Hendon RAF Museum, Hackney Empire, St.
James Piccadilly and St. Albans Cathedral. As well as
working with ENO, The Fitzwilliam Quartet and The
Classical Prom Company. Joanne regularly tours Italy
as soloist with Adoramus Choir and Orchestra. Joanne is an experienced recording
artist, performing on television and film soundtracks and last year released her first
album.

Philip Norman (Founding Artistic Director) is a professional
conductor, composer, arranger and organist based in London

Christine Didelot (Executive Director) works as a Digital and
Database Marketing Manager in the City of London. In her spare
time, she is a passionate and committed choral singer with a
long experience of organisation and management in the performing arts. She is an active member of Petros Singers, vocal
ensemble W10, and St Matthew’s Church Choir in Ealing.
Mike Gahan (Chief Steward) works as a Senior Software
Developer for a leading Media & Entertainment corporation in
West London. He is a long-standing member of Questors Choir
in Ealing, where he also acts on the Executive Management
Committee. Mike has been actively associated with the London
Sangerstevne festival since 2005.

Matthew’s Church Choir
We are recruiting new singers NOW!
We are a very friendly bunch of singers who specialise in traditional
church music – from William Byrd to James MacMillan via Purcell,
Mozart, Brahms, Stanford, Howells and many more besides.
We turn up each Sunday morning at 10.00am for a half-hour rehearsal.
The service runs from 10.30 - 11.30am followed by coffee and a chat.
Then we rehearse again until 12.15pm - that’s it!
