The North Pole is located at 90 degrees North and there are no other directions but South. It is one of
the hardest places in the world to reach, located on an ice-sheet that constantly drifts on top of the
Arctic ocean. It took many brave attempts for explorers to successfully confirm arrival to the North
Pole and only a very small group of individuals have successfully managed to visit the destination.

HL Adventure has entered a cooperation with explorers and scientists to bring small groups and
individuals to the North Pole and will operate scheduled departures in April 2016 to successfully reach
the North Pole, organized especially for those who want to do it in style.
For more information contact HL Adventure at info@ hl.is and we will provide a briefing of how the
plan and logistics are in relation to your goals for standing on top of the world.

The unpredictability of conditions on the North Pole force
a series of contingencies we need to consider in regard to
any expedition set up to reach the North Pole, and we have
to take into account that some delays might occur. We will
always prioritise your safety first.
As you arrive in Svalbard, the weather conditions will by
evaluated and an expedition plan set in motion, to
successfully help you reach your goal of reaching the North
Pole. In case we experience a delay in departing from
Svalbard, we have set up a series of optional activities,
ranging from dog-sledding, snowmobiling, mountain
trekking and ice-caving.
Optimally, we would fly from Svalbard the day after and land on the
ice-sheet where the Barneo basecamp is located. The Barneo camp is
used by international expedition and explorer groups travelling in the
Arctic regions, operated only for one month every year for research
purposes.
We will use the first opening to fly on our privately chartered
helicopters to the North Pole, a flight that can take between
20-90 minutes, depending on how much drift of the polar
ice-sheet we are experiencing at the time.
As we fly back to our basecamp, the celebration continues and for those
who really want to take in the whole experience, we will carve out a
block of ice, so that you can take a dip in the Arctic ocean, followed by a
relaxing moment in the North Pole sauna.
As we land on the North Pole, we bring out the Champagne
and crystal glasses to make a toast, turn on the Iridium
satellite phone and call our friends and family, letting them
know we arrived at the top of the world, in every sense of the
word. Of course you will receive a certified diploma for having
reached the North Pole.
In the morning, or first opportunity with regards to weather conditions,
we fly back to Svalbard and say goodbye before returning back to the
realities of our regular lives.
