STEP-UP Chattanooga Program Associate

STEP-UP Chattanooga Program Associate
There is a critical skills gap between our talented young people and the needs of our region’s work force. PEF’s College and Career Success
work aims to bridge that gap with the creation of a new internship program—STEP-UP Chattanooga—that will connect Hamilton County
students to career opportunities. Young people face many obstacles as they try to gain critical skills needed to begin a meaningful career.
These obstacles are even greater for underrepresented students from low-income backgrounds. At the same time, businesses need welltrained employees to fill the ever-growing number of jobs in Chattanooga. The purpose of STEP-UP Chattanooga is to address both of
these issues by providing comprehensive work-readiness training, on-the-job experience, and professional connections for student
interns.
