Robert D. Kaplan is the author of over a dozen
books on foreign affairs and travel, including
Balkan Ghosts, Eastward to Tartary, and Warrior
Politics.
Michael Prichard is a professional narrator and
stage and film actor who has played several
thousand characters during his career. An Audie
Award winner, he has recorded well over five
hundred books and has earned several AudioFile
Earphones Awards. Michael was also named a Top
Ten Golden Voice by SmartMoney magazine.
From Robert D. Kaplan, named one of the world's Top 100 Global
Thinkers by Foreign Policy magazine, comes a penetrating look at
the volatile region that will dominate the future of geopolitical
conflict.
In Asia's Cauldron, Robert D. Kaplan offers up a vivid snapshot of
the nations surrounding the South China Sea, the conflicts brewing
in the region at the dawn of the twenty-first century, and their
implications for global peace and stability. One of the world's most
perceptive foreign policy experts, Kaplan interprets America's
interests in Asia in the context of an increasingly assertive China.
He explains how the region's unique geography fosters the growth
of navies but also impedes aggression. And he draws a striking
parallel between China's quest for hegemony in the South China
Sea and the United States' imperial adventure in the Caribbean
more than a century ago.
To understand the future of conflict in East Asia, Kaplan argues,
one must understand the goals and motivations of its leaders and
its people. Part travelogue, part geopolitical primer, Asia's Cauldron
takes us on a journey through the region's boom cities and
ramshackle slums: from Vietnam, where the superfueled capitalism
of the erstwhile colonial capital, Saigon, inspires the geostrategic
pretensions of the official seat of government in Hanoi, to Malaysia,
where a unique mix of authoritarian Islam and Western-style
consumerism creates quite possibly the ultimate postmodern
society; and from Singapore, whose "benevolent autocracy" helped
foster an economic miracle, to the Philippines, where a different
brand of authoritarianism under Ferdinand Marcos led not to
economic growth but to decades of corruption and crime.
Praise:
"A riveting, multitextured look at an underexamined region of the world and, perhaps, at the 'anxious, complicated
world' of the future.'" -Booklist

Marilynne K. Roach earned a BFA from
Massachusetts College of Art and works as both a
historian and illustrator. She is also the author of
The Salem Witch Trials: A Day-by-Day Chronicle of a
Community Under Siege. She lives in Watertown,
Massachusetts.
Stage actress Kate Reading has been a freelance
narrator for over twenty years. She has received
multiple Audie Awards and nominations, as well
as numerous Earphones Awards from AudioFile
magazine, which has named her Narrator of the
Year and, for two years running, Best Voice in
Science Fiction and Fantasy.
From Marilynne K. Roach, a narrative that allows listeners to
experience the history of the Salem witch trials through the eyes
of those who lived it.
Six Women of Salem is the first work to use the lives of a select
number of representative women as a microcosm to illuminate the
larger crisis of the Salem witch trials. By the end of the trials,
beyond the twenty who were executed and the five who perished in
prison, two hundred and seven individuals had been accused,
seventy four had been "afflicted," thirty two had officially accused
their fellow neighbors, and two hundred and fifty five ordinary
people had been inexorably drawn into that ruinous and murderous
vortex, and this doesn't include the religious, judicial, and
governmental leaders. All this adds up to what the Rev. Cotton
Mather called "a desolation of names."
The individuals involved are too often reduced to stock characters
and stereotypes when accuracy is sacrificed to indignation. And
although the flood of names and detail in the history of an
extraordinary event like the Salem witch trials can swamp the
individual lives involved, individuals still deserve to be
remembered, and, in remembering specific lives, modern
audiences can benefit from such historical intimacy. By examining
the lives of six specific women, Marilynne Roach shows listeners
what it was like to be present throughout this horrific time and how
it was impossible to live through it unchanged.
Praise:
"[Full of] the author's deep knowledge of virtually every man, woman and child affected by the trials in this bizarre
period." -Kirkus
"Roach animates information woven together from court records, trial notes, diaries, vital records, sermon notes, and
family lore in a successful attempt to personalize [the women's] lives, drawing the reader away from commonly
believed stereotypes and sensational folklore." -Library Journal

heartbreak-of her life as the daughter of one of the most powerful
mobsters in America.
In this tell-all memoir, the only daughter of the man who was
considered the "brains of the Mob" opens the door on her
glamorous-and tragic-life. Sandi Lansky Lombardo, daughter of
Mob boss Meyer Lansky, was raised in New York City in upper-class
Jewish splendor and spent her childhood in the undeniable glitz of
Havana and Las Vegas in Lansky's heyday in the 1940s, '50s, and
'60s. She dined out with her father and his associates when she was
six and was introduced to Frank Sinatra when she was eleven. She
knew Bugsy Siegel and Uncle Lucky Luciano and met Howard
Hughes and Joseph Kennedy. She was the Paris Hilton of her day:
partying until dawn at El Morocco and the Stork Club, married at
sixteen, romanced by Dean Martin at nineteen. She was pampered
and protected, but her life was also full of tragedy: her mother was
mentally ill and her eldest brother severely handicapped, and Mob
violence repeatedly invaded the world of their friends and family.
In Daughter of the King, Sandi recounts for the first time the
grandeur-and heartbreak-of her life as the daughter of one of the
most powerful mobsters in America. Sandi takes listeners back in
time to tell the story of her life-one lived in a glamorous but
troubled world where nothing ever turned out to be quite as it
seemed.

Misty Copeland made history by becoming the
third African-American ballerina for the American
Ballet Theatre. She lives in New York City.
Lisa Reneé Pitts is an award-winning actress in
theater, television, and film, as well as an
accomplished audiobook narrator. She won an
AudioFile Earphones Award for excellence in
narration for Pushkin and the Queen of Spades by
Alice Randall.
Misty Copeland, an African-American soloist at the American
Ballet Theatre, shares her harrowing life story from her humble
beginnings to dancing with one of the most prestigious ballet
companies in the world.
"Picture a ballerina in a tutu and toe shoes. What does she look
like?"
As the only African-American soloist dancing with the prestigious
American Ballet Theatre, Misty Copeland has made history. But
when she first placed her hands on the barre at an after-school
community center, no one expected the undersized, anxious
thirteen-year-old to become a groundbreaking ballerina.
When she discovered ballet, Misty was living in a shabby motel
room, struggling with her five siblings for a place to sleep on the
floor. A true prodigy, she was dancing en pointe within three months
of taking her first dance class and performing professionally in just
over a year: a feat unheard of for any classical dancer. But when
Misty became caught between the control and comfort she found in
the world of ballet and the harsh realities of her own life (culminating in a highly publicized custody battle), she had to choose to
embrace both her identity and her dreams, and find the courage to
be one of a kind.
With an insider's unique point of view, Misty opens a window into
the life of a professional ballerina who lives life center stage: from
behind the scenes at her first auditions to her triumphant roles in
some of the most iconic ballets. But in this beautifully written
memoir, she also delves deeper to reveal the desire and drive that
made her dreams reality.

Alfie Kohn writes and speaks widely on human
behavior, education, and parenting. He is the
author of several books, including Unconditional
Parenting, Punished by Rewards, and The Homework
Myth. Alfie has been described by Time magazine
as "perhaps the country's most outspoken critic
of education's fixation on grades and test
scores." He spends much of his time speaking at
education conferences, as well as to parent
groups, school faculties, and researchers. He
lives in the Boston area.
Also by the author:
Parenting and education expert Alfie Kohn tackles the
misconception that overparenting and overindulgence has
produced a modern generation of entitled children incapable of
making their way in the world.
Somehow, deeply conservative assumptions about how children
behave and how parents raise them have become the conventional
wisdom in our society. It's widely assumed that parents are both
permissive and overprotective, unable to set limits and afraid to let
their kids fail. We're told that young people receive trophies,
praise, and A's too easily, and suffer from inflated self-esteem and
insufficient self-discipline. However, complaints about pushover
parents and entitled kids are actually decades old and driven, it
turns out, by ideology more than evidence.
With the same lively, contrarian style of Alfie Kohn's bestselling
books about rewards, competition, and traditional education, The
Myth of the Spoiled Child systematically debunks the story that we
hear with numbing regularity. Kohn uses humor, logic, and his
familiarity with a vast range of social science data to challenge
media-stoked fears of spoiling our children. He reveals that the
major threat to healthy child development isn't parents who are too
indulgent but those who are too controlling.

Brant Pitre is a professor of sacred Scripture at
Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana,
and the bestselling author of Jesus, the

Mel Foster has narrated over 150 audiobooks and
has won several awards. Twice an Audie finalist
for 1864: Lincoln at the Gates of History by Charles
Bracelen Flood and Finding God in Unexpected
Places by Philip Yancey, he won for the latter title.
Brant Pitre once again taps into the wells of Jewish Scripture and
tradition and unlocks the secrets of what is arguably the most wellknown symbol of the Christian faith: the cross of Christ.
In Jesus the Bridegroom, Brant Pitre once again taps into the wells of
Jewish Scripture and tradition, and unlocks the secrets of what is
arguably the most well-known symbol of the Christian faith: the
cross of Christ. In this thrilling exploration, Pitre shows how the
suffering and death of Jesus was far more than a tragic Roman
execution. Instead, the Passion of Christ was the fulfillment of
ancient Jewish prophecies of a wedding, when the God of the
universe would wed himself to humankind in an everlasting nuptial
covenant.
To be sure, most Christians are familiar with the apostle Paul's
teaching that Christ is the "Bridegroom" and the Church is the
"Bride." But what does this really mean? And what would ever
possess Paul to compare the death of Christ to the love of a
husband for his wife?
As Pitre shows, the key to unlocking this mystery can be found by
going back to Jewish Scripture and tradition and seeing the entire
history of salvation, from Mount Sinai to Mount Calvary, as a divine
love story between Creator and creature, between God and Israel,
between Christ and his bride-a story that comes to its climax on the
wood of a Roman cross.
In Jesus the Bridegroom, dozens of familiar passages in the Bible
are suddenly transformed before our eyes. Indeed, when seen in
the light of Jewish Scripture and tradition, the life of Christ is
nothing less than the greatest love story ever told.

An AudioFile Earphones Award winner and Audie
Award finalist, Patrick Lawlor is also an
accomplished stage actor.
In a follow-up to his book Life Before Life, Jim Tucker, MD, explores
American cases of young children who report memories of
previous lives.
A first-person account of Jim Tucker's experiences with a number of
extraordinary children with memories of past lives, Return to Life
focuses mostly on American cases, presenting each family's story
and describing his investigation. His goal is to determine what
happened-what the child has said, how the parents have reacted,
whether the child's statements match the life of a particular
deceased person, and whether the child could have learned such
information through normal means. Tucker has found cases that
provide persuasive evidence that some children do, in fact, possess
memories of previous lives.
Among others, listeners will meet a boy who describes a previous
life on a small island. When Tucker takes him to that island, he
finds that some details eerily match the boy's statements and
some do not. Another boy points to a photograph from the 1930s
and says he used to be one of the men in it. Once the laborious
efforts to identify that man are successful, many of the child's
numerous memories are found to match the details of his life.
Soon after his second birthday, a third boy begins expressing
memories of being a World War II pilot who is eventually identified.
Thought-provoking and captivating, Return to Life urges its listeners
to think about life and death, and reflect about their own
consciousness and spirituality.

World War II Marine Chuck Tatum presents his fascinating firsthand account of the Battle of Iwo Jima.
In 1944, the U.S. Marines were building the 5th Marine Division-also
known as "The Spearhead"-in preparation for the invasion of the
small, Japanese-held island of Iwo Jima.
When Charlie Tatum entered Camp Pendleton to begin Marine boot
camp, he was just a smart-aleck teenager eager to serve his
country. Little did he know that he would be training under the
watchful eyes of a living legend of the Corps-Congressional Medal
of Honor recipient John Basilone, who had almost single-handedly
fought off a Japanese force of three-thousand on Guadalcanal, and
survived.
Red Blood, Black Sand is the story of Chuck's two weeks in hell, where
he would watch his hero, Basilone, fall, where the enemy stalked
the night, where snipers haunted the day, and where Chuck would
see his friends whittled away in an eardrum-shattering, earthshaking, meat grinder of a battle.
Before the end, Chuck would find himself, like Basilone, standing
alone, blind with rage, firing a machine gun from the hip, in a
personal battle to kill a relentless foe he had come to hate. This is
the island, the heroes, and the tragedy of Iwo Jima, through the
eyes of the battle's greatest living storyteller, Chuck Tatum.

Praise:
Author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Against All Enemies,
former presidential advisor and counter-terrorism expert Richard
A. Clarke sounds a timely and chilling warning about America's
vulnerability in a terrifying new international conflict.
Richard A. Clarke warned America once before about the havoc
terrorism would wreak on our national security-and he was right.
Now he warns us of another threat, silent but equally dangerous.
Cyber War is a powerful book about technology, government, and
military strategy; about criminals, spies, soldiers, and hackers. This
is the first book about the war of the future-cyber war-and a
convincing argument that we may already be in peril of losing it.
Cyber War goes behind the "geek talk" of hackers and computer
scientists to explain clearly and convincingly what cyber war is, how
cyber weapons work, and how vulnerable we are as a nation and as
individuals to the vast and looming web of cyber criminals. From the
first cyber crisis meeting in the White House a decade ago to the
boardrooms of Silicon Valley and the electrical tunnels under
Manhattan, Clarke and coauthor Robert K. Knake trace the rise of
the cyber age and profile the unlikely characters and places at the
epicenter of the battlefield. They recount the foreign cyber spies
who hacked into the office of the Secretary of Defense, the control
systems for U.S. electric power grids, and the plans to protect
America's latest fighter aircraft.
Economically and militarily, Clarke and Knake argue, what we've
already lost in the new millennium's cyber battles is tantamount to
the Soviet and Chinese theft of our nuclear bomb secrets in the
1940s and 1950s. The possibilities of what we stand to lose in an
all-out cyber war-our individual and national security among themare just as chilling.
"Cyber War may be the most important book about national-security policy in the last several years." -Slate
"In this chilling and eye-opening book, Clarke and Knake provide a highly detailed yet accessible look at how cyber
warfare is being waged and the need to rethink our national security to face this new threat." -Booklist

From the creator, writer, and executive producer of the HBO series
True Detective and soon to be a major motion picture comes a dark
and visceral novel set along the wastelands of Galveston.
On the same day that Roy Cady is diagnosed with a terminal
illness, he senses that his boss, a dangerous loan-sharking barowner, wants him dead. Roy is alert to the possibility that a routine
assignment could be a deathtrap. Yet what the would-be killers do
to Roy Cady is not the same as what he does to them, and after a
smoking spasm of violence, they are mostly dead and he is mostly
alive.
Before Roy makes his getaway, he realizes there are two women in
the apartment, one of them still breathing, and he sees something
in her frightened, defiant eyes that causes a fateful decision. He
takes her with him as he goes on the run from New Orleans to
Galveston, Texas-an action as ill-advised as it is inescapable. The
girl's name is Rocky, and she is too young, too tough, too sexyand far too much trouble. Roy, Rocky, and her sister hide in the
battered seascape of Galveston's country-western bars and seedy
hotels, a world of treacherous drifters, pickup trucks, and ashed-out
hopes

atmospheric thriller is impossible to put down.

Susanna Kaysen is the nationally bestselling

Camera My Mother Gave Me. She lives in

Käthe Mazur (pronounced "kay-ta") has recorded
over one hundred titles, including The Nanny
Diaries by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus,
Hillary Clinton's Living History, and Jacquelyn
Mitchard's Cage of Stars, an AudioFile Earphones

From the bestselling author of Girl, Interrupted, an exploration of
memory and nostalgia set in the 1950s among the academics and
artists of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
"It was probably because I was so often taken away from Cambridge
when I was young that I loved it as much as I did . . . "
So begins this novel-from-life by the bestselling author of Girl,
Interrupted, an exploration of memory and nostalgia set in the
1950s among the academics and artists of Cambridge,
Massachusetts.
London, Florence, Athens: Susanna, the precocious narrator of
Cambridge, would rather be home than in any of these places.
Uprooted from the streets around Harvard Square, she feels lost
and excluded in all the locations to which her father's career takes
the family. She comes home with relief-but soon enough wonders if
outsiderness may be her permanent condition.
Written with a sharp eye for the pretensions-and charms-of the
intellectual classes, Cambridge captures the mores of an era now
past, the ordinary lives of extraordinary people in a singular part of
America, and the delights, fears, and longings of childhood.
Praise:
"A literary tour-de-force displaying Kaysen's unique talent for creating an engaging ensemble cast that comes uniquely
alive under adolescent eyes . . . Affectingly real." -Publishers Weekly

In the third book in the Dr. Samantha Owens series, Samantha's
attempt to unravel a twenty-year-old mystery may put her very
life at risk.
Dear Dr. Owens,
If you are reading this letter, I am dead and I would be most grateful if
you could solve my murder…
Bios:
J. T. Ellison is the New York Times bestselling,
award-winning author or coauthor of several
critically acclaimed novels, including All the Pretty
Girls, 14, and The Final Cut, with Catherine Coulter.
She lives in Nashville.
Joyce Bean is an accomplished audiobook
narrator and director. In addition to being an
AudioFile Earphones Award winner, she has been
nominated multiple times for a prestigious Audie
Award, including for Good-bye and Amen by Beth
Gutcheon.
Forensic pathologist Dr. Samantha Owens thought life was finally
returning to normal after she suffered a terrible personal loss.
Settling into her new job at Georgetown University, the illusion is
shattered when she receives a disturbing letter from a dead man
imploring her to solve his murder. There's only one catch. Timothy
Savage's death was so obviously the suicide of a demented
individual that the case has been closed.
When Sam learns Savage left a will requesting she autopsy his
body, she feels compelled to look into the case. Sam's own
postmortem discovers clear signs that Savage was indeed
murdered. And she finds DNA from a kidnapped child whose
remains were recovered years earlier.
The investigation takes Sam into the shadows of a twenty-year-old
mystery that must be solved to determine what really happened to
Timothy Savage. Nothing about the case makes sense but it is
clear someone is unwilling to let anyone, especially Samantha
Owens, discover the truth.

subgenre." -Publishers Weekly Starred Review
"Ellison excels at imaginative and terrifying plots, and this thriller is a fine example that sucks readers in at the
beginning and spits them out at the end, emotionally drained." -RT Book Reviews

Adrianne Harun teaches at the Rainier Writing

short story collection The King of Limbo. She lives

Actor and musician Dan John Miller is an awardwinning audiobook narrator, having garnered
multiple Audie Award nominations and one win,
twice been named a Best Voice by AudioFile
magazine, and received several AudioFile Golden
Earphones Awards and a Listen-Up Award from
Publishers Weekly.
The seductive and chilling debut novel from the critically acclaimed
author of The King of Limbo.
In isolated British Columbia, girls, mostly native, are vanishing
from the sides of a notorious highway. Leo Kreutzer and his four
friends are barely touched by these disappearances-until a series of
mysterious and troublesome outsiders come to town. Then it seems
as if the devil himself has appeared among them.
In this intoxicatingly lush debut novel, Adrianne Harun weaves
together folklore, mythology, and elements of magical realism to
create a compelling and unsettling portrait of life in a dead-end
town. A Man Came Out of a Door in the Mountain is atmospheric and
evocative of place and a group of people, much in the way that
Jesmyn Ward's Salvage the Bones conjures the South, or Charles
Bock's Beautiful Children provides a glimpse of the Las Vegas
underworld: kids left to fend for themselves in a broken worldrendered with grit and poetry in equal measure.
Praise:
"Harun spins a chilling tale shot through with both aching realism and age-old folktales, melding them together to
capture a landscape lush with possibility and imagination and terrifying in its vast emptiness." -Booklist Starred Review

A thrilling retelling of the star-crossed tale of Romeo and Juliet,
from the New York Times bestselling author of the Morganville
Vampires series.
In the Houses of Montague and Capulet, there is only one goal:
power. The boys are born to fight and die for honor and-if they
survive-marry for influence and money, not love. The girls are
assets, to be spent wisely. Their wishes are of no import. Their
fates are written on the day they are born.
Benvolio Montague, cousin to Romeo, knows all this. He expects to
die for his cousin, for his house, but a spark of rebellion still lives
inside him. At night, he is the Prince of Shadows, the greatest thief
in Verona-and he risks all as he steals from House Capulet. In
doing so, he sets eyes on convent-bound Rosaline, and a terrible
curse begins that will claim the lives of many in Verona . . . and will
rewrite all their fates, forever.

and a fiery redhead from an author who is a veritable tour de force
in the genre.
Sensible and lonely, Olivia Mather survives by her wits-and her strict
policy of avoiding trouble. But when she realizes that the Duke of
Marwick might hold the secrets of her family's past, she does the
unthinkable, infiltrating his household as a maid. She'll clean his
study and rifle through his papers looking for information.

use any weapon to punish those who fooled and betrayed him-even
an impertinent maid who doesn't know her place. But the more
fascinated he becomes with the uppity redhead, the more
dangerous his carefully designed plot becomes. For the one
contingency he forgot to plan for was falling in love . . . and he
cannot survive being fooled again.

Filled with adventurous human drama-and shocking inhuman
horror-Rise Again is a vivid and powerful debut novel of the zombie
apocalypse.
Billions died and rose again, hungry for human flesh. When the
nightmare reached Sheriff Danielle Adelman's small mountain
community of Forest Peak, California, it was too late for warnings . .
. forcing her to lead a small group of survivors out of hell, all the
while seeking her estranged runaway sister at any cost.
Two years later, the undead have evolved. Now, besides the
shambling, mindless cannibals are the hunters-cunning and fast,
like wolves-and the thinkers, whose shocking intelligence and
single-minded predatory obsession may mean the downfall of
what's left of humanity. As Danny leads a ragtag band of the living
through the remnants of the American Midwest, rumors arise of a
safe place somewhere east. But the closer they get to it, the more
certain Danny becomes that something evil waits for them at the
end of the line. With an unspeakable secret riding beside her and
an unbreakable promise made to a small, silent boy, Danny must
stake everything she has-her leadership, her sanity, and her life- in
order to defeat the ultimate horror in a terrifying and dying world.

determined to start a new life, until she meets him again: the
green-eyed, sexy as sin, six-foot-two sex god. The man who
played dirty. The man who played her.
Sexy, handsome, and arrogant Jett Mayfield knows he has made
mistakes. He could have any other woman, and yet it's Brooke he
wants. When second chances collide with secrets and Brooke is
threatened by the past, Jett is determined to protect her. She
accepts his help unwillingly because she needs him, but she wants
to play his game on her terms. And she has no intention of
forgiving or letting him back into her bed.
When the man she is supposed to hate is the one she should trust,
will he conquer her . . . or lose her forever?

Golden Heart winner and two-time RITA finalist Christina Brooke
introduces a new series based in Regency England focusing on the
aristocratic and powerful Westruther family.
Physically reckless, irrepressibly roguish, and poised on the brink of
ruin, Jonathon Westruther, Earl of Davenport, returns from the dead
only to throw himself into dissipation. Until he meets his worst
nightmare: a straitlaced former schoolteacher he can't get out of
his head. He resolves to seduce the delightful Miss Hilary deVere by
fair means or foul. But when his past returns to endanger Hilary, he
must protect her at all costs.
Dismissed from her post at a ladies' academy because of prejudice
against her uncouth family, Hilary will do anything to avoid going
back to live with her loutish brothers. She longs for a London
season to show the world a deVere can behave with utmost
decorum and to find a respectable husband. Everything about Lord
Davenport appalls her but desperation makes strange bedfellows.
To get to London, Hilary strikes a bargain with the devilish
Davenport, confident that she's immune to his charm. But as she
discovers surprising depths beneath his rakish surface, this
infamous scoundrel becomes more temptation than even the most
proper lady can withstand.

Miss Harlow's marriage in high life
London, 1823
A handsome duke. His beautiful soon-to-be duchess. A whirlwind
courtship. It is this author's privilege to report on the event all of
London is talking about: the upcoming wedding of the Duke of
Hamilton and Brandon to the only daughter of the Duke of
Richmond. Every detail of the "Wedding of the Year" will be
reported in these pages as a London Weekly exclusive.
But I, Miss Sophie Harlow, must confess to a secret infatuation with
this "double duke" that can only lead to trouble. It is impossible
that this notoriously upstanding gentleman would ever jilt his bride
for a scandalous female newspaper writer. And yet . . . the arrival of
a foreign prince, the discovery of a shocking secret, and one
passionate kiss could change everything. Will this perfect duke risk
the scandal of the year to marry the woman his heart desires?

own demons to battle, and nobody has brought them to the fore
like she has.
As their relationship deepens, and Sophia begins to break down his
walls, all that greets her are more questions. Why is Sebastian
fighting so hard to keep her at a distance? Who is the girl on his
phone? And why does the strange tattoo on his chest seem so
familiar?
These puzzles plague her, but as Sebastian's mysteries begin to
unravel, she must face an entirely different truth. Staying in the
dark may be painful, but knowing the answers could be deadly.

In this dystopian romance from Kit Rocha, Bren's quest for
vengeance may jeopardize the one thing that matters to him-his
relationship with Six. Contains mature themes.
-RT Book Reviews Top Pick
-Author's Web site: kitrocha.com
Live fast, die young-anything else is a fantasy for Six. She's
endured the worst the sectors had to throw at her, but falling in with
Dallas O'Kane's Sector Four gang lands her in a whole new world of
danger. They're completely open about everything, including their
sexuality, but she hasn't survived this long by making herself
vulnerable. Especially not to men as dominant as Brendan
Donnelly.
Bios:
Kit Rocha is a pseudonym for a writing team that
consists of best friends Bree and Donna. Beyond
Shame is their first dystopian erotic romance.
Lucy Malone has narrated dozens of audiobooks
and is one of the most sought-after voices for
erotica narration. A number of her titles are
consistent bestsellers on Amazon and Audible,
and she has been described as having "the best
voice in the biz."
Bren is a killer, trained in Eden and thrown to the sectors. His one
outlet is pain, in the cage and in the bedroom, and emotion is a
luxury he can't afford-until he meets Six. Protecting her soothes
him, but it isn't enough. Her hunger for touch sparks a journey of
erotic discovery where anything goes-voyeurism, flogging, rough
sex. He has only one rule: he won't share her.
In Bren's arms, Six is finally free to let go. But Bren's obsession
with the man who made him a monster could destroy the fragile
connection they've forged, and cost him the one thing that makes
him feel human-her love.

Jennifer L. Armentrout is the USA Today
bestselling author of the Covenant series and the
Lux series.
In this prequel to Half-Blood, after years spent living among
mortals, Alexandria, a descendant of the gods, returns to the
dangerous, magical world of the Covenant.
"Love in my world usually ended up with someone hearing 'I smite
thee!' as she was cursed to be some lame flower for the rest of her
life."
For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals-pretending to
be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to
fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's
pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards . . .
and that she'll never be prepared for that duty.
According to her mother, that's a good thing.
Justine Eyre is a classically trained actress who
has narrated over two hundred audiobooks. With
a prestigious Audie Award and four AudioFile
Earphones Awards under her belt, Justine is
multilingual and is known for her great facility
with accents. Her recent television credits include
Two and a Half Men and Mad Men.
But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of
rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami
and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had
warned her she should never return-the Covenant. Every step that
brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death . . .
because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once
trained to kill.
The daimons have found her.

In this gripping fantasy novel from USA Today bestselling author
Jennifer L. Armentrout, seventeen-year-old Alexandria gets more
than she bargained for when she begins her training to become a
Sentinel. Contains mature themes.
The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and
the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers.
Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods
only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill
daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.
Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting
than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it
anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must
follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:
Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.
Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood
Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem-staying alive
long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If
she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or
slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden.
And that would kind of suck.

In the second installment of Jennifer L. Armentrout's Convenant
series, Alexandria, a half-blood, must make her way through a
magical world of daimons and mythical beings, all while resisting
her forbidden attraction to pure-blooded Aiden.
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical
outlet isn't exactly awesome-especially when Alexandria's "other
half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside
her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom-so not cool.
Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her
nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no
effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or
what he will do-and sacrifice-for her.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the
gods send furies-lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to
the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon- and
Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow
bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to
neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude . . .
or killing her. When the gods are involved, some decisions can
never, ever be undone.

author of Making Faces, A Different Blue, Running

AudioFile Earphones Award winner Emily Woo
Zeller has been described by AudioFile magazine
as doing "an extraordinary job of varying the

of the story." While she specializes in Asian
American narratives, Emily's work spans a broad

In this unique romantic tale from Amy Harmon, a psychic gift
allows seventeen-year-old Maggie O'Bannon to connect with
Johnny Kinross, who died when he was in high school in the 1950s.
The hallways are empty, the school day long over, the din of
lockers and youthful laughter have dissolved into silence. It's as if
the very walls are waiting. And then through the intercom a song
starts to crackle, the soundtrack of a forgotten life. And the band
begins to sing: "Lovely Maggie falls for Johnny, a boy no one else
can see. Heartthrob Johnny, '50s bad boy, trapped for eternity.
Lonely boy and lonely girl, unsolved mystery. Maggie and Johnny,
only high school sweethearts, because Johnny can't ever leave. Do
wop, Do wop . . . "
In 1958, a rumble goes down outside the brand new high school in
Honeyville, Texas. Chaos ensues, a life is lost, and Johnny Kinross
disappears. But in 2010, someone finds him. Orphaned at the age
of ten, seventeen-year-old Maggie O'Bannon finally finds a
permanent home with her elderly aunt in a small Texas town.
Working part-time as a school janitor, she becomes enmeshed in a
fifty-year-old tragedy where nothing is as it seems and the boy of
her dreams might vanish when the bell rings.
This volatile and mismatched romance is doomed from its start, as
Maggie struggles to hold on to yet another person she is destined
to lose. Secret love and hushed affection are threatened by outside
forces, resulting in a desperate race to keep a secret no one would
understand. Deeply romantic, funny and tender, Slow Dance in
Purgatory captures the heartache of a love story where a happy
ending might be decades too late.

New York Times bestselling author Amy Harmon presents a tale of
hope and the power of unconditional love.
Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real
name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a
drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. At
nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving
on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no
father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student,
to say the least. Tough, hard, and overtly sexy, she is the complete
opposite of the young British teacher who decides he is up for the
challenge, and takes the troublemaker under his wing.
This is the story of a nobody who becomes somebody. It is the
story of an unlikely friendship, where hope fosters healing and
redemption becomes love. But falling in love can be hard when you
don't know who you are. Falling in love with someone who knows
exactly who they are and exactly why they can't love you back might
be impossible.
Praise:
"The emotional fierceness of A Different Blue will cut to the core of the [listener]. Amy Harmon has written a story with
such allure and relevance, and she has once again displayed how to eloquently write a story that will move the reader
beyond words." -Romantic Reading Escapes

author of Making Faces, A Different Blue, Running

Rob Shapiro can be heard narrating such
audiobooks as the bestselling The Information: A
History, a Theory, a Flood by James Gleick, Frank:
The Voice by James Kaplan, and the fantasy noir
Low Town by Daniel Polansky. He performed
several seasons of radio comedy on Minneapolis
Public Radio and voiced the titular lion in Leo the
Lion.
New York Times bestselling author Amy Harmon presents her
latest novel, the tale of one girl's love for a broken boy.
Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair
that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you.
The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and
Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was
thirteen. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never
someone Fern thought she could have . . . until he wasn't beautiful
anymore. Making Faces is the story of a small town where five young
men go off to war, and only one comes back. It is the story of loss.
Collective loss, individual loss, loss of beauty, loss of life, loss of
identity. It is the tale of one girl's love for a broken boy and a
wounded warrior's love for an unremarkable girl. This is a story of
friendship that overcomes heartache, heroism that defies the
common definitions, and a modern tale of Beauty and the Beast,
where we discover that there is a little beauty and a little beast in
all of us.

From New York Times bestselling author Amy Harmon comes the
story of a small-town girl and a Native American boy, the ties that
bind them to their homes and families, and the love that gives
them wings.
When Josie Jensen, an awkward thirteen-year-old musical prodigy,
crashes headlong into newcomer Samuel Yazzie, an eighteen-yearold Navajo boy full of anger and confusion, an unlikely friendship
blooms. Josie teaches Samuel about words, music, and friendship,
and along the way finds a kindred spirit. Upon graduation, Samuel
abandons the sleepy, small town in search of a future and a life,
leaving his young mentor behind. Many years go by and Samuel
returns, finding his old friend in need of the very things she offered
him years before. Their roles reversed, Samuel teaches Josie about
life, love, and letting go. Deeply romantic and poignant, Running
Barefoot is the story of a small-town girl and a Native American boy,
the ties that bind them to their homes and families, and the love
that gives them wings.

The last few days have been the darkest of Sally's life. After
experiencing the joy of finding her mate, she now suffers the pain
of losing everything she holds dear. Both the Romanian and
Serbian packs have been captured, ripping Sally's soul mate away
from her almost as soon as she had found him. Her best friend and
the emotional glue that usually holds Sally together, Jacque Pierce,
lies writhing in a restless coma, having been put down by
Desdemona's dark magic. Jennifer Adams, the unshakable one,
has revealed to her friends and her mate that she is pregnant, but
the Fates have marked her unborn baby for death. Though she
rails against the darkness, deep inside Jen knows that Decebel's
baby must die as payment for her own life, and the knowledge is
tearing her soul to pieces. Cypher, King of the Warlocks, has
claimed Jacque's mother as his mate and agreed to help
Desdemona open a door that would release a horde of demons
from beyond the Veil.
For too long the supernatural races have lived in separation, warring
amongst themselves, allowing trivial power plays and selfish
disputes to keep them from uniting. That separation has made
them weak. Now, being summoned as a collective force to the same
land, will they come? Will they come in numbers greater than have
been seen in centuries? Will they destroy each other and save
Mona the trouble, or will they finally unite and fight as one?
