The session will be organized by Welcome TLC, an initiative housed in the Lucas County Commissioners Office in partnership with Toledo LISC working to build an inclusive and global Toledo-Lucas County. A pizza and pop meal will be shared, and then youth will be invited to join the adults to hear the keynote speaker. about volunteer opportunities with local refugee and immigrant families. Sara has been involved in local and international peace initiatives, including organizing a group of 60 performers from 8 different countries in Dachau last September 13. They performed the entire Bach b minor Mass in this little convent built just outside the walls of the concentration camp memorial site, as a way to bring balm to the souls who had perished there and really as a healing for the space. Noor Inayat Khan, a real Hero of Compassion, was martyred at Dachau. She is an example of a Muslim who gave her life to save Jews and others during World War II.
