VISA® CHECK CARD UPDATE DIRECT DEPOSIT OF YOUR In response to the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and specifically the Durbin Amendment, we have added an additional network for processing of our debit cards transactions. This new network, Accel/Exchange, will allow our customers to continue to use their Visa Check Cards just like today (at an ATM machine for a cash withdrawal or at a merchant for a credit card purchase transaction). TAX REFUND OR With the addition of Accel/Exchange, there is added functionally and the card can now be used as a true debit card. You have a choice if you want to have the merchant select debit or credit. If you select debit, you will be prompted to input your PIN and then you have the capability to receive cash back. You will not need to sign for the transaction. If you continue to use your card as a credit transaction, you will be asked to sign the slip when appropriate. Both types of transactions will debit your checking account just like today and both types of transactions continue to be covered under Visa’s zero liability protection. For consumers, the limit has increased to $1,000 per day for purchases; business cards have a $2,500 per day limit. Do not write your PIN on your card and never give your card information out to anyone unless you have initiated the transaction and can verify the authenticity of the website. The Bank will never call or email asking for your account number or card number. If you receive a call or email requesting this information, please do not respond with any account information.
