WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBERS
Matt Ashley
*Individual Retirement Arrangement or Health Savings Account
Jenny Burke is the newest customer service
representative in the Twin Bridges office. Jenny’s
primary focus is on the front line and she will greet
you with a warm and friendly smile while tending to
your banking activities efficiently. Jenny and her
family moved to the valley in the summer of
2001. Jenny shares a bit about herself and her
family — “We enjoy the surrounding communities
and the people who live in them. My husband, Ed,
is a teacher and coach for Sheridan Schools. I have
two sons. James is a freshman at U-M Western
and Jacob is a junior in Sheridan High School. My
hobbies are refinishing vintage furniture, collecting
cameos, reading, and enjoying outdoor activities.” If
you haven’t had the opportunity to introduce yourself
to Jenny, please take the time to do so!
RVNB is pleased to welcome Matt Ashley as a new
team member. Matt is training to assist with the
lending activities at the Bank. Some of you know
Matt’s family as they ranched in Sheridan and then
relocated to Rosebud several years ago. Matt
attended Rosebud High School graduating as CoValedictorian in 2007. He is a recent graduate of
Rocky Mountain College where he played basketball
and graduated with honors receiving a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Business Management and a
Minor in Economics. Matt loves spending time doing
almost anything outdoors, but especially enjoys
hunting and fishing. Matt says, “I feel blessed to
receive the opportunity to move back to the Ruby
Valley because I love the area and the people. I am
really looking forward to working with the great
people at Ruby Valley National Bank and the first
rate customers they serve.” Stop by and welcome
Matt back to the Ruby Valley!

VISA® CHECK CARD UPDATE
DIRECT DEPOSIT OF YOUR
In response to the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and
Consumer Protection Act, and specifically the Durbin
Amendment, we have added an additional network for
processing of our debit cards transactions. This new
network, Accel/Exchange, will allow our customers to
continue to use their Visa Check Cards just like today (at
an ATM machine for a cash withdrawal or at a merchant
for a credit card purchase transaction).
TAX REFUND OR
With the addition of Accel/Exchange, there is added
functionally and the card can now be used as a true debit
card. You have a choice if you want to have the
merchant select debit or credit. If you select debit, you
will be prompted to input your PIN and then you have the
capability to receive cash back. You will not need to sign
for the transaction. If you continue to use your card as a
credit transaction, you will be asked to sign the slip when
appropriate. Both types of transactions will debit your
checking account just like today and both types of
transactions continue to be covered under Visa’s zero
liability protection.
For consumers, the limit has increased to $1,000 per day
for purchases; business cards have a $2,500 per day
limit. Both types of cards have a limit of $300 for cash
withdrawals at an ATM or cash back from a merchant.
Do not write your PIN on your card and never give your
card information out to anyone unless you have initiated
the transaction and can verify the authenticity of the
website. The Bank will never call or email asking for your
account number or card number. If you receive a call or
email requesting this information, please do not respond
with any account information.
FEDERAL BENEFIT CHECK
Your regular benefit check (like Social
Security, Veteran’s Affairs, etc.) and your IRS tax refund
are ideal candidates for direct deposit.
To arrange for direct deposit of a regular benefit check,
visit www.godirect.org and follow the instructions. You
will need to switch from paper checks to electronic
payments by March 1, 2013. To arrange for direct deposit
of your IRS refund, simply complete the information on
your IRS Form 1040 in the section labeled “Refund” on
page 2 of the tax form. The Bank routing number is the
first set of numbers found on your checks - 092904185;
your account number is the next set of numbers. Direct
deposit is:
Quick—Your money is electronically transferred into
your account and available to use the morning of the
transfer date.
Reliable— Your money is deposited in your account
on time, every time. There is no delay, nothing to get
lost and no trips to the Bank.
Convenient—When you are away from home, your
funds are credited to your account, safe and ready to
use.
Secure—Eliminate worries of lost, stolen or
misplaced checks.
Direct deposit is more
confidential than paper payments because fewer
people are involved in the process.
FREE CREDIT REPORTS YOUR BEST TOOL
When it comes to guarding against cyber-fraud, one of the most important tools at your disposal is your credit report. It
details all of you credit transaction accounts and will be the first place that unusual charges or entirely new accounts will
appear. And you can monitor your report for FREE!
Since federal law permits consumers to obtain a free report annually from each of the three major credit reporting
agencies, cyber-security experts advise you to get a free report from a different agency every four months. Doing so ill
allow you to monitor your credit report and activity all year long. To order your FREE credit report, go to the only
authorized source: www.annualcreditreport.com or call 1-877-322-8228.
