Organisation (DRDO) is a pioneer in design, development, manufacturing & testing
of aero gas turbine engines for defence applications. This Organisation has
embarked upon multiple projects encompassing all branches of engineering viz.,
Aeronautical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Material, Control, Computer Science &
Electronics streams.
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the award of Junior
Research Fellowships at GTRE, Bangalore possessing educational qualification
and other eligibility criteria as indicated below:

 Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on last date of receipt of application. (relaxable
by 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC as per Govt. of India orders).
 Extension & Up-gradation: The tenure of fellowship will be initially for a
period of 2 (two) years and will be extendable based on candidate’s
performance as per rules. The fellowship shall not exceed 5 years.

 General conditions:
1. The selected candidates may be allowed to register for M.S / Ph. D with any
University / Institution during the tenure of fellowship.
2. Eligible candidates may apply for the fellowship by sending the duly filled
application form along with self- attested copies of Date of Birth, Mark sheets,
GATE score card (if applicable), Degree certificate(s), Caste Certificate (if
applicable) and testimonials on or before specified date. Application form can
be downloaded from the DRDO website “www.drdo.gov.in. and duly filled in
application form can be sent to “Director, Gas Turbine Research Establishment,
C.V. Raman Nagar, Bangalore - 560 093” through post only. Candidates are
required to enclose Rs.10/- Indian Postal Order (IPO) in the name of Director,
GTRE along with application form. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/
OBC/Women categories candidates are exempted from the payment.
3. The envelope containing the application may be superscribed as
‘APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JRF ’.
4. Candidates will be required to produce all original certificates / testimonials,
community certificate, if applicable, in original during the interview. They
must also bring a set of self-attested photocopies of all testimonials along with
two recent passport size color photographs. Candidates may bring Project
report / Technical work demo in support of their candidature.

5. The last date of receipt of filled-in application form to reach this
establishment is 28th April 2017.
6. The name of the shortlisted candidates will be published in DRDO website
(www.drdo.gov.in) on 10th May 2017 for Interview at GTRE, Bangalore – 560
093.
7. The candidates called for interview will be paid Travelling allowance
through shortest route limited to sleeper class railway fare. No Travelling
allowance will be paid for joining the fellowship.
8. Interview will be held from 12th June 2017 onwards .Separate call letters
will be sent to the selected candidates by post.
9. The candidate also needs to produce a Photo-identity proof such as Aadhaar
Card /PAN Card/ Passport / Voter Id etc. in original and a photocopy of the
same at the time of interview.
10 Candidates working in Govt. organization / Public sector undertaking /
Autonomous bodies should produce no objection certificate (NOC) to attend
the interview.
11. Antecedents of selected candidates will be verified.
12. The award of fellowship does not confer on the candidates any right for
absorption in DRDO under any circumstances.
