A poster paper will be placed in 4 corners of the room with the name of 1 strategy from this handout or https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxT28mV11aiASVZoYVFMaU1ZOUk/view?pli= 1 on each poster. Each group will take 5 minutes to summarize the strategy on their poster (in words or pictures), adding any information on ways to implement that strategy in their classroom. All 4 groups share out to the whole group on what their strategy was. 4:15 pm4:30 pm CS Vocab (Time for teachers to complete 15 puzzles) Teachers match the puzzle to the associated vocab word. Then come together as a whole group to brainstorm potential solutions to these challenges. 5:15 pm5:40 pm Integration with commitment First 20 minutes: Collaborate with others on how to use the courses in your classroom based on the previous discussion. Come up with at least 1 concrete goal. Last 5 minutes: Share out with the whole group. 5:45 pm6:00 pm Closing Ceremonies Come up with 5 words or less on your favorite part of the workshop. Doesn’t have to be a sentence. Ex: “Computer Science is fun” “Collaboration with dedicated educators” “Approachable, Interesting, Relevant” Everyone goes around the room and shares. Important At the facilitator’s end, when “End Event” is clicked, it will take a snapshot of the teachers’ progress and send a report to notify Code.org that you have completed your workshop. A teacher has to complete a minimum of 15 puzzles throughout the workshop to receive credit.
