First off, the drama club was a huge success due to the teaching style of Bill (the instructor). He made you feel comfortable and not too embarrassed to go up and try all the different acting techniques. I would like to thank all the members who attended all the classes. I felt that the more people you have makes it even more fun! So if we have even more members sign up the next time we have a drama club, it would make the experience even better. So sign up, this mean you! So last and not least, a Big Thank You to Bill for all his hard work and taking the time from his busy schedule to give such joy and happiness to all of us at Prosper Place. Thank you to all the staff and especially to Angela for her hard work. A special thank you to the occupational therapy students, Esther and Helen. Written by Ciara M. & Darrell N. I thought it was easy and non-threatening. I was a bit surprised about the Shakespeare but again, Bill did it in a non-threatening manner. Only one thing, I wanted to act the part of Romeo. I have always wanted to say “But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.” Written by Cheryl S. Prosper Place Pioneer New Workshop Series Coming in April! The Art Therapy Workshop, I believe was well done and very inspiring. Materials were supplied, clients were allowed to take their work home. The Sleep Hygiene Workshop was very true because everybody has sleep trouble at one point in their life. There were suggestions to us to conquer insomnia which is very prevalent in today’s society. The Writing through Recovery Workshop and the member’s journey through their lives was nothing but encouraging. I hope the Wellness Workshops Series happens again at Prosper Place. Most of the members, I think, absorbed positive and inspiring messages. By Roger L. Editor: Monique C. & Arthur L. New Fish On March the second, Sue J and Kara H from prosper place bought eight fancy goldfish of various colors and shapes from My Pet at Kingsway garden mall. The two largest fish a breed call comet, tube like single tail white with orange patches one about 10 cm the other 9 cm big were introduced and got along with a black butterfly moor (two tailed) and a calico butterfly (two tailed) the clubhouse already had in a twenty gallon tank. The remaining six goldfish ranging from 4cm to 5cm were placed in a ten gallon tank. The breed are has follow: one orange butterfly (two tailed), two Red and black moor butterfly (two tailed), two calico and one comet. All these kind goldfish cannot live in a bowl, an air filtering tank is a perfect environment. The fish are being fed Nutrafin Max Flakes and goldfish pellets. Unfortunately, the fish like to look like their hungry all the time. So much so it was mention in the announcements please don't feed the fish talk to staff first. Having the fish had some interesting comments from members like it's relaxing to watch them swim and interact with each other. The fish are beautiful, inspirational, calming event on people, amazing fun to look at good for mental health were mentioned. Other members said I haven't seen them yet but intend to or not having notice them when asked about the new fish. By Monique C.
