SAFETY WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: When using product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
Read all instructions before using this product!
1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Do not exceed the product’s maximum load capacity of 1500 lbs(750 lbs per
individual ramp)
3. Observe work area conditions. Keep work area well lighted.
4. Use eye protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles during
assembly.
5. Make proper ground contact. Only use on a flat, solid, dry surface capable of
supporting the SLT Manual Ramp and its maximum capacity load of 1500 Lbs
(750 lbs per individual ramp).
6. Make certain that no persons or pets are under the Ramp or vehicle during
loading.
7. Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area.
8. Use the right product for the job. There are certain applications for which the
Loading Ramp was designed. Do not modify the Loading Ramp and do not use
the Loading Ramp for a purpose for which it was not intended.
9. Check for damaged parts. Before using any product, any part that appears
damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly
and perform its intended function. Check for any broken or damaged parts and
any other conditions that may affect its operation. Replace or repair damaged
or worn parts immediately.
10. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in
moving parts. Non-Skid footwear is recommended when assembling and when
using the Loading Ramp. Wear restrictive hair covering to contain long hair.

to exceed the ramp’s capacity.
12. Prior to each use, clean dirt, oil, or any debris off the ramp.

13. Be aware of dynamic loading! If a weight drops onto or bounces on the
Loading Ramp, it will create, for a brief instant, an excess load, which may result
in damage to the Ramp, the vehicle and/or may result in personal injury.
14. Tailgate must be able to support the Loading Ramp and any vehicle or object
loaded into the vehicle.
15. Do not operate product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning
labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired
while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not operate the product.

When servicing, use only identical
replacement parts. For technical questions, please call 1-866-923-0027

INSTALLATION
PROCESS
COMPLETED INSTALLATION OF
MR-750
NOTE: ½” – 4” GAP IN MIDDLE OF
2 RAMP
1) Remove packing materials and inspect supplies
Page 4 of 9
2) Depending on body style, use the Hinge/Angle Brackets to align the ramps on
your vehicle. The hinge/angle bracket should fit flush on the bottom of the rear
door frame and squarely against the rear portion of the rear door frame. Ramps
must be placed so the Locking Pin Bracket aligns with the side door frame of
your truck. May require slight side to side adjustment to fit rear door frame.
*** Rear door grab handles or tail lights could interfere with location of locking pin
bracket. Typical installation places center of locking pin bracket on center of vertical
rear door frame.
CAUTION: Singe ramp assembled weighs 190-200 lbs
3) Lift the Ramps to the Up (storage) position. Edges of ramps may be sharp;
therefore, always wear leather gloves for safety while handling ramps.
(use 2-3 man lift or forklift to prevent injuries. Verify locking pin bracket
approximate location.

4) Mark and drill 5/16 inch holes for the Hinge/Angle Brackets and attach the
angle brackets to the vehicle using 3 – 5/16in. x 1 in. Bolts for each Hinge/Angle
Bracket.
CAUTION: Singe ramp

5) Center the Locking Pin Plate. Mark and Drill holes. Attach the Locking Pin Plate
using the ¼ inch Rivets
-
Note – Location of locking pin is critical. Misalignment can prevent the locking
assembly to function. Use only ¼” drill bit to drill the holes for the rivets. If the hole
is too large, the rivets will not hold the bracket during transport.

8) Attach a gas spring to the Ramp and the Lower Bracket to measure the
distance for the Lower Brackets to be secured below
9) Mark and Drill 2 holes for Lower Bracket on lower bumper. Using 2 - 5/16in. x 1 in.
Bolt with Square Head. (spot welding is suggested for added safety)
10)It’s critical the lower spring bracket has proper support. This bracket MUST have
solid support of a flat surface BEHIND the bracket. This area must support 500 lbs
of force. Failure to have proper support behind this bracket will lead to
premature failure of gas springs and/or the lower spring bracket. It may be
necessary for you to reinforce or add supporting steel structure behind this
bracket.

11)Install the 250 lb. gas
spring - stainless steel rod
downwards. (2 - 1/2 in.
Wrenches required)
a. Install the first
gas spring on the right side of
the brackets
using the upper holes on the
Ramp and the upper hole on the Lower Bracket.
b. Install the second gas spring on the left side of the brackets using the
lower holes.
12)Repeat gas spring installation on opposite side.
13)Install Safety Decals on both sides of the vehicle near the Locking Pins.
14)Insure all bolts are tight. Spot welding is suggested for added safety.
15)Never Paint Gas Spring Rods. Always protect the surface of the Gas Spring Rods.
16)Insure all Screws and Bolts are tightened as the last step of this installation.
17)Spot welding the ramp hinge/mounting bracket to the rear door frame of the
truck is optional
