PELICAN BRIEFS:
Back on Track: This season, Jrue Holiday saw action in 67 games, his most since joining the Pelicans organization, and the most since his final season in
Philadelphia (78 in 2012-13), and only missed three games due to injury (turf toe)…His minutes played, assists, steals, blocks, rebounds, field goals made and threepoint field goals made, are all the highest marks he has totaled in a season since coming to New Orleans in 2013.
Cheick It Out: Over the final two games of the regular season, Pelicans rookie forward Cheick Diallo earned significant minutes, posting two point-rebound doubledoubles in the process, tying his career-high with 19 points to go with 11 rebounds at LAL 4/11 and scoring 12 points to go with a career-high 16 rebounds 4/12 at
POR…With his 16 rebounds in the season finale, Diallo becomes only the second 20-year old to grab at least 15 rebounds in a game in franchise history, joining
Anthony Davis, who did it 13 times at age 20 or younger.
March On: New Orleans’ finished the month of March with a record of 10-6, marking the first winning month for the franchise since January of 2016 (8-6) and the first
month with double-digit victories since January 2011 (12 wins).
Blockin’ and Stealin’: In New Orleans’ win over SAC on 3/31, the Pelicans recorded season-highs in steals and blocks, with 17 and 13, respectively...New Orleans
is the first team since the Phoenix Suns (11/9/99) to have at least 17 steals and 13 blocks in the same game.
A King’s Ransom: Facing his old team for the first time on 3/31, DeMarcus Cousins erupted for 37 points and 13 rebounds against his former club, the Sacramento
Kings…Cousins becomes just the fifth player in NBA history to record at least 35 points and 10 rebounds in their first game against their former team, joining Charles
Barkley (PHX vs. PHI 3/3/93), Dominique Wilkins (LAC at ATL 3/25/94), Al Harrington (NYK vs. GSW 11/29/08) and Danilo Gallinari (DEN at NYK 1/21/12).
A Lot of Assists, Not A Lot of Turnovers: Over his final 15 games, Pelicans guard Tim Frazier handed out 76 assists while only committing 10 turnovers…Since 3/14,
Frazier averaged 8.1 assists per one turnover, and boasted an assist ratio (average assists per 100 possessions) of 44.8.
Strong Offensive Production: Over New Orleans’ final 17 games, the Pelicans boasted an offensive rating of 109.9, good for seventh in the NBA since
3/11…During that span, the squadron averaged 111.2 points per game, ranking them fifth in the NBA in scoring.
Instant Grits: Since originally joining the Pelicans on a 10-day contract 3/6 and subsequently signing through the remainder of the season, Jordan Crawford scored in

fifth player in franchise history to have back-to-back games hitting five triples, joining James Ennis, Ryan Anderson, Peja Stojakovic and Baron Davis…Cousins
connected on another five triples 3/31 vs. SAC, marking the third time in four games he tied his career-high from deep.
Boudin Boogie: Pelicans big man DeMarcus Cousins erupted for 41 points, his highest point total with New Orleans, including a career-high-tying five three-pointers
to go with 17 rebounds in the squadron’s win over division rival Memphis 3/21…Since 1983, Cousins is just the second player to score at least 41 points while hitting
five triples, and grab as least 17 rebounds, and the first to do it since Kevin Love in 2010…Additionally, Cousins is the first player to have 40 points and 15 rebounds
against Memphis since Zach Randolph in 2007.
The Big Easy: After missing most of the first quarter at Oklahoma City due to foul trouble, Pelicans F DeMacrus Cousins ended the night with 31 points (including 19 in
the second quarter) and 10 rebounds in 22 minutes, becoming the first player since Moses Malone (12/27/86) to record at least 31 points and 10 rebounds in 22 minutes
or less played…Additionally, Cousins was 15-of-15 from the free throw line, becoming the first F/C since Amar’e Stoudemire (11/5/08) to go a perfect 15-of-15 from
the charity stripe.
Bayou Boogie: Newly acquired Pelicans big man DeMarcus Cousins made quite the opening impression with his new team, recording 27 points, 14 rebounds, five
assists, five steals and four blocks, falling just one shy of a rare 5x5…Cousins becomes the first player in NBA history to record a stat line of this stature in his debut
game with his new team after being traded mid-season.

assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks…Holiday recorded all three of his 30-point performances, ten point/assist double-doubles and one point/rebound doubledouble (the fifth of his career) over the span…Since 1/23, Holiday was one of four players in the NBA to be averaging at least 16.5 points, 7.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds
