Event Information:
36 Hole Open Amateur Tournament Vardon Event
36 Hole Junior Vardon Event (up to/inc 17 years of age on day of play)
36 Hole Senior Vardon Event (must be over 55 years on day of play)
Vern Gillespie Cup Cessnock Members (50+ years on day of play)
$60 pp (total) to play in Cessnock Cup Events (Saturday & Sunday)
$30pp to participate in the 2BBB Stableford Event (Friday)

Conditions of Entry
 The Entry Fee must be received by Cessnock Golf Club prior to 5th June 2017
 If needed a draw will be taken to limit the field to 180 Players
 The Entry Fee of any player balloted out will be refunded. There will be no
refund to any player who withdraws after the draw is made, or who is
disqualified
 Late entrees may only be accepted if a vacancy in the draw exists
 The Saturday and Sunday Cessnock Cup is open to male golfers affiliated with
the NSWGA
 The Monday events are open to members and lady members of golf clubs
affiliated with the NSWGA
 Cessnock Golf Club is a Golflink Club, thus entries must have a current
Golflink Number and have a current Golf Association Handicap
 The Members of the club match committee shall be the “committee” within the
rules of golf and such clubs local rules
 All players will be re handicapped after the first round
 The leading 12 players will be seeded after the first round; it will be the
player’s responsibility to know his starting time on the Sunday. Failure to hit
off at the designated time will result in disqualification from the Cessnock
cup only.
 Ties shall be decided on a COUNTBACK except for :
o The Cessnock Cup and Junior Cessnock Cup for which there will be a
play off, as stipulated for the Scratch winners only.
o The play off will be decided over three holes using holes 10, 17 and 18
in stroke play, If there is still a tie players will then play sudden death
starting at hole number 1 then continuing on holes 2,10,17 and 18 until a
winner is found.
 There will be two divisions, with, as far as possible, an equal number of players
in each.
 A player may only win one 18 hole trophy per day and one 36 hole trophy.
 PLAYERS MUST REPORT TO THE STARTER AT LEAST 10
MINUTES PRIOR TO HIS HIT OFF TIME, PLAYER’S NOT READY
FOR THEIR ALLOCATED HIT OFF TIME WILL BE PENALISED 2
SHOTS.
 The Draw will , as far as possible, be widely published or forwarded to the
email address supplied on the entry form
