Nero`s Fiddle - Royal Medieval Faire

A Game of Clue of Thrones
at the 15th Annual Royal Medieval Faire
Hear Ye, Hear Ye, His most Royal Highness, King Bertram of Mearth, doth hereby invite
thee to the fifteenth annual Royal Medieval Faire. Be ye knight or maid, peasant or lady – all are welcome
to the festival. The Faire promises great celebration: feasting, gaming and entertainment. Strolling minstrels
may charm you with a tune. Dancers may draw you into their circles. Magical creatures may lure you onto a
different path. The enticements are many.
This, the fifteenth year of the Royal Medieval Faire brings back some dastardly favourite characters.
King Davius of Dearth and his court arrive with grave accusations for the lovely Queen Charlotte.
Could she have had something to do with the death of King Bertram’s first wife, Sarah? Does this
rogue King actually have evidence of a crime? Or is he merely after the prize of the kingdom, Dragon
Grendel’s Eggs?
Journey to Mearth to meet the members of both King Bertram’s and King Davius’ Court and decide
for yourself who you think should have your favour!
The Royal Medieval Faire
The Royal Medieval Faire is a not for profit organization whose goal is to create a community event
involving history, entertainment, and audience participation. The City of Waterloo has kindly
supported this adventure from its inception in the fall of 1997. The gate fee helps cover the costs of
running this event. The time and energy of volunteers makes the magic of the day happen.
The board wishes to thank you for your participation in our dream!
Ginevra Brown, Linda Derderian, Marie-Pascale Desjardins, Karen Oddson, Nicholas Oddson,
Dwayne Price.

A Royal “Thank You”
This is the fifteenth Royal Medieval Faire and it has taken a few thousand of you and us to make it
happen every year. We are happy you still come and become part of the Kingdom of Mearth. We now
have actors who began coming as small children or even who were born the year of the first RMF! It is
a wonderful thing to have the next generation of Faire folk who bring their ideas, muscles and efforts
to make this day happen. We thank them and everyone who has helped put the faire on each year.
And thank you for coming and supporting us whether this is your first year or your fifteenth, we are
happy to have you!
Maybe next year your name will be in this programme?
Huzzah!
Come join us next year! The Royal Medieval Faire returns on Saturday, September 21st, 2013!
To volunteer, call us at 519-279-4018 or e-mail [email protected]
