Graphic Organizer Finding a Graphic Organizer Template in the Resource Library The first step in creating a graphic organizer is to find an example that matches your instruction. Sample graphic organizers can be found in the Resource Library. 1. To access sample graphic organizers, navigate to the side tool strip and select the Resource Library. 2. If the Resource Library is minimized as seen in this example, it can be maximized by selecting the down arrow in the Title area. 3. If the Resource Library is rolled in as seen in this example, it can be rolled out by selecting the right arrow in the Title area. When you open the Resource Library, it will likely not display the same picture as seen in this tutorial. The Resource Library opens to your previously selected location. Changing categories in the Resource Library allows you to view numerous resources that are available in ActivStudio. When selecting a graphic organizer, to use for instruction, start with selecting the appropriate category. Graphic organizers are located in the Shared Flipchart Pages category. 1. To access these samples, from the Resource Library, select Shared Flipchart Pages. 2. In the rolled out area to the right of the Resource Library, select Graphic Organizers. Notice that resources are arranged alphabetically under each sub‐category. Next, scroll through the list of graphic organizers to find one that matches your instruction. 3. Click the organizer you wish to use and it appears on your flipchart. If you double click the organizer it opens in a new window. To fix this, close the new window and single click the organizer from the Resource Library. 4. To close the Resource Library, click the X in the Title area.
