EXAMPLES OF WORK 1. Performs a variety of administrative duties: Types, proofreads, and corrects letters, newsletters, reports, bulletins, forms, financial statements; composes general correspondence; responsible for incoming and outgoing mail, including bulk mailings. 2. Performs receptionist duties: Arranges meetings/appointments; directs telephone and personal callers to appropriate people; provides general information on procedures, rules and regulations; handles details for conferences, workshops, meetings and seminars; makes reservations when requested; assists with annual report. 3. Performs hospitality duties: Welcomes community into the church and provides orientation for facility usage; organizes and/or prepares lunches and special events. 4. Establishes computer record and information management systems: Maintains mailing list; organizes files for correspondence, records, reports and other communications. 5. Attends meetings and conferences as assigned. 6. Manages inventory and orders supplies, equipment, food and other materials as needed, arranges for repair of equipment and facilities. 7. Runs job-related errands as needed (e.g. picks up mail, supplies and tablecloths). 8. Supervises volunteers assisting with duties associated with this position. 9. Manages accounting/bookkeeping procedures: keeps ledgers, check book, and savings; pays bills; reconciles bank statements; keeps payroll records; makes deposits; helps plan yearly budget; completes monthly financial statements; completes tax reports; provides receipts for money received; works with volunteer Treasurer. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
