Synthetic Turf Debris Sweeper
The Comox Valley Regional District is seeking quotations from qualified suppliers for the provision
of Synthetic Turf Debris Sweeper.
Quotations clearly marked “Synthetic Turf Debris Sweeper” will be received at office of the Comox
Valley Regional District (CVRD) at 600 Comox Road, Courtenay, BC V9N 3P6, until 2:00 p.m.
Pacific time on Thursday June 26th, 2014.
The item to be supplied under this request for quotation (RFQ) is described in the attached
specifications and the supplier, by submitting a quotation, undertakes to supply the item for the
price quoted and as specified.
All prices must be quoted in Canadian dollars with GST/PST, as applicable, shown as separate items
and must be FOB 2963 Vanier Drive Courtenay, BC V9N 5Y2. Prices are to remain valid for a
period of 60 days from date of submission.
Written quotations, which should include the attached form completed and signed, may be
submitted by mail or in person to 600 Comox Road, Courtenay, BC V9N 3P6, or by email to
[email protected]. In order to be considered, quotations should be received by the CVRD
before the submission deadline.
The purchase order will be issued to the supplier complying with the provisions of the RFQ that
provides the best value to the CVRD. The following criteria will be used to select the most
advantageous quotation:
a) Reputation, experience and qualifications of the supplier;
b) Ability to meet any time requirements, specifications and/or stipulations provided for in the
RFQ;
c) Lowest price to the CVRD of having the item supplied in accordance with the specifications

Synthetic Turf Debris Sweeper
Specifications
Background:
The Comox Valley Regional District has undertaken the lead in the construction of a synthetic
turf field at G.P. Vanier Secondary School in Courtenay BC. Leighton Contracting will be
performing the civil work for the project and AstroTurf will supply and install the synthetic turf.
Scheduled to open early in the Fall of 2014 the field is approximately 110m x 70m and is lined
for soccer, mini soccer and field hockey, see attachment.
Requirements:
Sweeper must be
 commercially built
 able to perform weekly maintenance
 equipped with a magnetic strip
 lightweight
 easily attached to a tractor.
Date Required:
Equipment must be delivered FOB between August 20 and 22, 2014 to School District #71
maintenance yard at 2963 Vanier Drive Courtenay, BC V9N 5Y2.
