most important battle in Mexico's history.
When the unbeatable French army invades
Mexico to set up a monarchy, General Ignacio
Zaragoza (Kuno Becker) must defend the
city of Puebla, commanding a poorly armed
and outnumbered troop of men. Meanwhile,
two young Mexican lovers manage to find
love amidst the chaos of war. Cinco de Mayo,
La Batalla chronicles the bravery of a people
pushed to the limit, fighting for their nation,
their families and their pride.

How PCCLD compares to peer libraries

this is comparing PCCLD with peer
institutions.
An important yardstick is looking
to those public libraries in Colorado,
which, like PCCLD, serve larger
populations. The Library Research

What: PCCLD customers have the
opportunity to check out mobile wifi
hotspots. The hotspots are wireless
access points providing network and/or
Internet access to mobile devices like
a laptop or smartphone, typically in
public locations but can also be used in a home.
When: Beginning Monday, May 1
Where: Only available at Rawlings and Barkman libraries.

Support cultural programing
The Loseling monks (as seen on House of
Cards) are coming to Pueblo City-County
Library District July 19-23 for the Summer
Reading Program.
The monks will create an impermanent
sand mandala during open hours at
Rawlings Library and have lectures
on enlightenment, kindness and the
symbolism of the Mandala during their
time here.
The library is looking for sponsors for the
programs and host families for the Monks
starting July 18.

CORNERSTONE CEREMONIES
Friday, May 19
Programs begin at 9:30 a.m, GV, Noon, LU, 2:30 p.m., GI
The public is invited to the cornerstone
ceremonies for the Greenhorn Valley,
Giodone and Lucero libraries.
Colorado Freemasons will lead the
celebrations at each of the three libraries.
These customary programs for new public
buildings will be performed by Freemasons
to represent figurative laying of cornerstones
to support the respective structures. Colorado
Grand Lodge officers will symbolically square,
level and plumb the cornerstones at each of
the three libraries. Time capsules also will
be sealed behind each cornerstone to include
a cache of current information about each
community to help future generations better
know and understand their local history.
