From the executive . .
Westminster Village North celebrated its 35th
anniversary at the close of this year, and that’s
something of which we’re very proud. Thirty-five years
of uninterrupted service to seniors...of promises kept...of
extraordinary quality care.
As America ages, and the pool of retirees grows, lots of
companies are deciding to get into the business of
senior living. But very few can boast of the experience
and success of Westminster Village North. Our CARFCCAC accreditation speaks to our continued
conformance to the highest standards of governance,
fiscal practices, innovation and quality improvement.
Our longevity speaks to the integrity and selflessness
with which we live our mission each and every day.
I’m personally proud to have passed my own milestone
anniversary this year, completing 10 years as executive director of Brian Madden, President of the Westminster Village
North Board of Directors, presents Executive Director
Westminster Village North. Ten years of Christmas Teas and
Shelley Rauch with a bouquet in honor of her 10th
Resident Council meetings, of sharing joys and sorrows with our anniversary at the helm of the Village.
residents. One of the things that has never failed to impress me
during my tenure is the distinction and dedication of the Westminster Village North staff. Our ability to
recruit and retain such caring and qualified professionals speaks directly to the depth of our calling and the
strength of our commitment to our residents.
To you who support us in this mission, I speak for us all — staff and
residents alike — in expressing our sincere thanks!

With sincere appreciation ...
Whether in memory of a beloved resident, as an annual gift, or in response to a special appeal,
donors to The Westminster Foundation help us strengthen our programs, develop new and
innovative projects to serve our residents and our community, and provide benevolent care for
Village residents whose funds have been depleted. This year was especially rewarding, as so
many new benefactors stepped forward to assist us in this mission. We are grateful to each
one.
Snoezelen Room Project
This project was initiated by Westminster
Village North Board Member Michael Musa
and his wife Debbie, and raised more than
$11,000 for the installation of a room in
Ironwood Memory Care providing a multisensory experience for our memory-impaired
residents.

Memorial Gifts
It is perhaps not surprising that many
families choose to ask that gifts in memory of
their loved ones come to the place where
those individuals were so happy and blessed.
We use those donations for the good of the
friends and neighbors the deceased left
behind at Westminster Village North.

A very special thank you
to Mary K. Newill, Board Member Emeritus
of Westminster Village North, who passed
away in our Health Center on February 25,
2007. Mary provided years of unselfish
service to the Village as a Board member. In
addition to her diligence as part of our
governance team, she was a generous donor,
eagerly pledging her financial support at
every opportunity.
As her final gift to the Village, she left a
bountiful bequest, a portion of which The
Westminster Foundation’s Board of Directors
has committed toward the expansion and
renovation of the therapy gymnasium and spa
in the Westminster Village North Health
Center.
