First half of league season comes to a
close
Hard to believe but the season is more than
half over, and what a first half it was. The
team has roared out to a 13-1 record in the
Eastern Region and a remarkable 27-4
overall record. The 27-4 start to is the best
start in the 30 years of Knights Fast
Pitch…not too shabby.
The formula for our success has been rock solid pitching, stellar defense and an
offensive attack that doesn’t quit. The team is hitting .383 overall, led by the red hot
swing of Kelsie DeBroeck and her .490 average. The team has pushed across 219
runs in the first 31 games while yielding on 69. The pitching staff is the top-rated staff
statistically in all of the NWAACC with an earned run average of only 1.51 per game.
Sydnee Jerome is tied for the league lead in wins with 12. The defense has been
steady all season and fantastic as of late as
evidenced by our .945 fielding percentage.
We are back on the road this weekend for a
very tough series against Blue Mountain and
Treasure Valley. The team is fired up for the
stretch run and confident that more great things
are on the horizon.
GO KNIGHTS!
