ASL Aircraft Security Locks AIRCRAFT SECURITY LOCKS The AIRCRAFT SECURITY LOCKS is a system of distributed electromechanical locks (nodes) controlled by an interface control unit (ICU). Main application is remote controlled secure locking/unlocking of aircraft interiors like galleys or cabin furniture. The networked system is built upon modular components with smallest possible size, volume & weight. The ASL Systems interface to aircraft infrastructure is placed inside the small ICU box and is easily adoptable to most CMS- or IFE-systems of major manufacturers. So the user-Interface may be fully integrated into cabin or cockpit touch panels. It may also be controlled via optional Smartphone Apps (with additional onboard equipment required). ASL KEY FEATURES Distributed system Stackable design Digital communication ports Integrated command & control Small and lightweight design Highly versatile Easy to integrate Each locking node is controlled via the ICU by a distributed digital bus system. All nodes consist of a electromechanical locks, position sensors and status information logics to send and receive status commands. Each node will transmit its status back to the ICU which therefore process all information from the system and send it to the CMS-system for command and control over a graphical interface. The INSYS ASL system provides cabin interior safety simply by the touch of a button. Typical Applications The INSYS ASL is highly versatile to meet demanding customer requirements. Due to a modular software and hardware concept the ASL system is very flexible, easy to adopt and to integrate. The system is able to adapt to virtually all types of cabin furniture like drawers, slide-in carts, doors, trolleys, pivot bins and other functional furniture. Designed for use in retrofit programs or factory new aircraft, all components have a very small outline, low volume & weight. Main use of the ASL system is for secure locking of cabin furniture or doors controlled remotely by cabin personnel or from the flight deck personnel. It is designed to achieve the maximum security in all ground or flight phases simply by the touch of a button. Applications are secure locking of doors and furniture in: VIP aircraft Commercial aircraft (single aisle or wide bodies) Large Helicopters V0.5 / 19.07.2011 STATUS: PRELIMINARY © INSYS - errors and omissions excepted, data subject to change without notice ASL Aircraft Security Locks Technical Data General Data: Supply / Power: Dimensions (ICU / node): Connectors: Maintenance Reliability: 28VDC nominal / < 2 x 10W** 280x120x48mm / 62x19mm (L x W x H)** / 680g / 140g (1.50/0.31lbs) D-SUB, Standard Density, 50/25 Pin, male, according MIL-C-24308** On condition / MTBF > 20,000hours** Interfaces: Inputs: RS232/RS422/RS485 ARINC 429, high-/low-speed* CAN 2.0B (CANaerospace, ARINC825)* Ethernet 100MBit/s* Discretes, (0…+28VDC) RS232/RS422/RS485 ARINC 429, high-/low-speed* CAN 2.0B (CANaerospace, ARINC825)* Ethernet 100MBit/s* Discretes, (0…+28VDC) *available on request / **varies widely on customer requirements Outputs: Environmental Conditions: Temperature Range: RTCA DO-160F env.
