Learning Outcomes
To understand and visualise the complete Stonehenge,
prior to visiting the monument.
To understand construction of Stonehenge including how
far stones are embedded underground.
To understand scale of monument- include models of
people.
Look at and discuss arrangement of stones
Identify sarsen and blue stones
Recap how the stones might have been moved (each
sarsen needed 200 people to move it, the blue stones
came from 150 miles away).
Identify sun rise and sun set points- rise in NE summer
solstice, and set in south west, Winter solstice.

This drawing shows 'design intent' only.
It is the responsibility of the appointed contractor to finalise
development, using specialists approved by Haley Sharpe, &
produce detailed working drawings.
ALL working drawings to be approved by Haley Sharpe prior
to manufacture.
All Electrical & data communications systems must conform
to the prevailing national regulations & any local bylaws
pertaining.
Unless stated otherwise all timber or timber based materials
used, including sheet materials, as specified by BS 476 (or
international equivalent), must be not less than Class 1 &
any other material utilised must be in accordance with Class
1 spread of flame.
Facilitation
Facilitation: 2 Education volunteers will help facilitate the
sessions, and teaching assistants/ parent helpers from
the school will also be required to help. It should be
noted that the teaching assistants/ parent helpers will not
necessarily have prior knowledge, so the activities need
to be straight forward and user - friendly.
Storage Requirement
Drawer of cabinet for storage of model. Model could
break into segments for easy storage.
Approx size of 1No. model 500 x 500 (Large enough to
sit on table for group of 30 to gather around and easily
see and must fit on the tables in the Education Room.
Table Dimensions are: 1900 x 710 (W X D X H).
Models will need to be stored away in Education Storage
Cupboard - total available space 2.1m x 0.5m x 2m
(W X D X H).
