Rake In Some Extra
Money This Fall
Would you like to
make some extra
money this fall?
Here are some
suggestions:
• Offer to help
your neighbors
with their fall
yard work,
sweeping, and
raking leaves.
• Take your used
and unwanted
video games to
local game stores, such as GameStop.
• Recycle aluminum cans. Ask your
family and friends to save their cans
for you to recycle.
• If you are a budding artist, you
can sell your creations to family
and friends.
• Have a yard sale with
your friends.

International Credit Union
Day Celebrates People
Helping People
On October 15,
2015, credit unions
around the world
will celebrate
International
Credit Union Day
(ICU Day).
This year’s ICU
Day theme is
the foundational
philosophy of the credit union movement,
“people helping people.” Since the very
beginning credit unions have celebrated
a simple but radical idea—that by working
together, people can improve their financial
well-being.
At its most basic level, a credit union is a
community of people pooling their money
to provide each other with affordable
loans—a credit union is literally people
helping people. This is why we celebrate
ICU Day at MHV. Stop by any MHV branch
on October 15th to join the celebration with
giveaways and refreshments.
