Today Lakewood becomes a safe place to
stay for homeless families with children
and New Pathways volunteers from
Lakewood make this outreach possible.
Would you consider giving up an evening
or sleeping in your own bed to help the
needy of our community? We still need
evening hosts to cover the 6:30-9:00 PM
shift and some overnight hosts over the
next two weeks. Sign up at the table in the

30 Days of Prayer
Join other Christians to pray for Muslims
during Ramadan from May 27-June 25.
This year, the 30 Days of Prayer for the
Muslim World prayer guide focuses on
praying for families. The guide will help
you learn about the needs and concerns
of families in the Muslim culture. Pick up

BIC (Bible Instruction Class)
Join us next Sunday, May 21 during both
services as we celebrate our first group
of students graduating from BIC. BIC is a
two-year course designed to challenge the
teenagers of Lakewood Evangelical Free
Church to study God’s Word and gain a
better understanding of its commands and
precepts.
Programming Ending for the Summer
The last day of Sunday Classes is next

LAPS Baby Bottle Fundraiser
Pick up a baby bottle from LAPS (Lakes
Area Pregnancy Support) in the Foyer

Summer Vision Meeting
We can't wait to reveal the theme for this
summer's Children's Ministry activities!
We want you to be as excited as we are
about where we're headed this summer,
so we would like your input. Together
with our Children's Ministry leaders, you
and your kids will help tailor our summer
ministries to harness their strengths and
passions. Attend our Summer Vision
Meeting for parents and elementary age
children this Wednesday, May 17 at
6:45 PM in the Great Hall. Childcare will
be provided in the Nursery for infants
through preschool.
Looking Ahead
The last day of Sunday school will be next
week, May 21. Children’s Church for kid’s
ages 4, 5 and Kindergarten will begin on
Sunday, June 4 during the 9 and 10:45 AM
services.
Hugs ‘n’ Stitches Returns!
Girls entering grades 4-6 are invited to
learn how to sew from our Lakewood
ladies and bless others at the same time
on June 21 and 22 from 9 AM-2 PM.

Missions:Isle Training NEXT SUNDAY!
The mandatory Missions:Isle Team
Training #1 will be next Sunday, May 21.
The Day Camp Team will meet from
3-6 PM and the Sports Team will meet

The STICK Planning Meeting
The STICK (Students Together In Christian
Kongregation) is our student led program
for the summer. If you are interested in
helping plan The STICK, come to the

Segway. The STICK meets two Wednesdays
per month in June, July and August.

FCA meeting of the school year in
