The Lawrence-Nelson Board of Education met in a regular session August 15, 2016
at Lawrence-Nelson Middle & High School. The meeting was called to order at 6:59
p.m. by roll call vote. Dwayne Buescher, Phillip Brockman, Ethan Epley, Susan
Karmazin, Becky Miller, and Lance Williams were present.
Motion by Karmazin, second by Epley, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion
carried: 6-0.
Motion by Epley, second by Brockman, to approve the consent agenda. Motion
carried: 6-0.
Motion by Buescher, second by Epley, to approve the claims for July in the amount of
$800,380.51 and claims for August in the amount of $749,159.25. Motion carried:
6-0.
Superintendent report by Dr. Gilson.
Motion by Epley, second by Brockman, of the Approval and Resolution to Approve
Selection Committee’s Findings and Rankings of Construction Manager at Risk
Proposers. Motion carried: 6-0.
Motion by Karmazin, second by Brockman, to approve the Certified Probationary
contracts to Andy Peterson. Motion carried: 6-0.
Motion by Miller, second by Buescher, to approve the Architect’s Contract. Motion
carried: 6-0.
Motion by Epley, second by Miller, to approve the Construction Manager’s Contract.
Motion carried: 6-0.
Discussion on Superintendent, Curriculum Director, and Special Education Director
wages and contracts.
