Winter 2017 Welcome to our New Newsletter! From new programs to revamped older programs, we will have a lot to offer in the new year. Remember that our department serves everyone from birth through high school graduation (as well as their families, teachers and caregivers). But before we go any deeper you may want to know a bit about our newsletter. We will publish this four times a year, and this will be a wonderful way for you to learn about everything that is coming up and get all of your awesome Youth Services news in one handy location. This newsletter will be available in print in the library, or we can send it straight to your e-mail. If you would like to sign up for our mailing list, please visit either the children or teen pages on our library website. How You Can Help There are 2 ways for teens to help out the library: 1) The Teen Advisory Squad of Kansas (TASK) has undergone some huge changes. We will now have an executive committee (comprised of 8 high school students) who will meet every other month and several smaller committees (comprised of varying numbers of teens of all ages). These committees will all focus on different aspects of teen services (movies, gaming, crafts, books, etc.) and they will meet as needed. Join today! 2) The Volunteen program is back. As of now we will have 2 positions available for high school students. The number of positions will change as we go throughout the year. Stop by the library for more information or to pick up an application. 5 Caught in the Information Library! 214 W.
