Minibus
Hire
The Council’s 17 seater semi-automatic minibus is available for hire to community groups
and clubs.
Users need to provide their own drivers (aged
25-69) who are covered under the Council’s
insurance scheme.
Drivers do not need to hold the County Minibus
Licence as they are able to drive the minibus
under the terms of their own driving licence.
All Groups/Clubs need to hold a Section 19
Permit. Application forms are available from
the Council office and when completed sent
direct to VOSA. This permit then belongs to
each individual Group/Club and must be
displayed in the minibus during their hire time.
It is required to cover fees/subscriptions
charged to passengers.
The permit is valid for 5 years at a cost of
approximately £15.
Please note: In the event of an accident
resulting in a claim on the Council’s insurance
policy the driver or user group may become
liable for a £150 excess charge.
