“Yes, be aggressive to what you want to hit. Unfortunately we were just getting under balls and
pop flies don’t really do much just a ground ball can cause something to happen. We know what
adjustments we need to make individually and hope for the best for tomorrow.”
On how different the team was then when you met in previously…
“They swing it. I don’t know what real differences they have but I know we definitely didn’t
show our best. We are a different team I believe that. I feel like we are better than we were the
first time we played them we just didn’t show that tonight and they are a good team.”
On what you can take away from this game and respond with tomorrow…
“We have another day and we are not done. We have to just preserver and press on and know we
can get the job done. A lot of teams have lost the first one and come back and dominated the last
two. Whatever team shows up tomorrow is going to be the team that wins.”

On your approach last weekend of ‘this not being your last weekend’…
“I know I will talk to whoever is pitching tomorrow. We still have a chance - we can go out and
get two games like we did last Sunday. I have confidence in our hitters and usually that second
time around we tend to get fired up and play really well so I am okay with it.”
On any difference playing them tonight versus the first matchup…
“I felt really well during the first four innings but they just jumped on my mistakes. I led it over
the plate too much a couple times. They have good bunts and fast runners – they (UL) just came
together, timely hitting and jumped on me. I have confidence that I can still pitch a good game
against them so I guess we will see tomorrow.”

“I am not sure you ever get it out of your memory, but these girls know what they have to do.
We had a good talk out there and at the beginning we said we would make no excuses. We have
to hit better, we have to pitch better, we have to play better.”

“We have to go out and be the team we know that we are and which we were not tonight. We
just have to play better and no excuses.”
