for sellers
Our £1,000 buyer incentive campaign will help your property
appeal to more buyers.
When we’ve found the right buyer, we’ll do everything
we can to ensure your sale goes through as quickly and
smoothly as possible. In today’s market, experience counts
and with our help sorting out the buyer’s legal and mortgage
arrangements, we may be in an even better position to
achieve this for you.

why do I need to join in this initiative?
Lack of funds is stopping many buyers from moving. Even
amongst serious buyers, every penny counts so properties
advertised with £1,000 buyer incentive will not only make
them stand out, but it will also widen their appeal to more
buyers.
why is the market tougher at the moment?
Mortgage lenders are now demanding higher deposits and at
the same time, lending criteria has tightened, this is creating
a huge barrier in particular for first time buyers. In turn, this
makes it harder for everyone in the housing chain to move.
how does the £1,000 buyer incentive work?
In return for a £1,000 commitment from you, we will include
your property in the initiative and it will benefit from all the
enhanced marketing we have got planned, including high
impact displays, mailouts, window cards, stop press lists and
any advertising we carry out. We also have a PR campaign
planned to help promote the initiative to all serious buyers in
the area.
how does the buyer get their
£1,000 buyer incentive?
There’s no need for cash or cheques to be handed over, the
£1,000 is dealt with by the conveyancers, either by way of an
allowance upon completion of your sale or by way of a price
reduction. The way that the £1,000 buyer incentive is to be
dealt with will be noted in the memorandum of sale.

what if I have already agreed to reduce the price?
The £1,000 buyer incentive is a separate, stand-alone initiative and
works in addition to any price reduction you agree.
how does it benefit me when the buyer uses your
conveyancing and mortgage services?
We want to help your sale complete as quickly and smoothly as possible.
By inviting buyers to use Sequence Mortgage Services and Sequence
Home Conveyancing property lawyers, we can keep a closer eye on
how the sale is progressing and hopefully avoid any lengthy delays.
what if a buyer wants to use their own legal firm
or make their own mortgage arrangements?
It’s no problem if a buyer wants to make their own arrangements for
conveyancing or apply through another source for their mortgage, but
they will not qualify for the £1,000 buyer incentive. Cash buyers who
don’t need a mortgage to finance their purchase can still qualify for
the £1,000 incentive provided that they use our conveyancers for the
legal work.
how do I sign up to this?
We will ask you to sign an agreement for the promotion of this
benefit. In order not to mislead, you can only withdraw from offering
this benefit by written notice to the branch, which must be given
before an offer has been accepted on your property, subject to
contract. Otherwise you will be obliged to honour the £1,000 buyer
incentive offered on your behalf.
