a. A request to lower the speed limit from 25 miles per hour to 15 miles per hour
for the Riverview High School speed zone along Proctor Road;

b. A request to lower the speed limit from 25 miles per hour to 15 miles per hour
for the Riverview High School speed zone along Lords Avenue;
RECOMMENDED
c. A request to lower the speed limit from 30 miles per hour to 15 miles
per hour for the Laurel Nokomis School speed zone along Laurel Road;
RECOMMENDED
d. A request to lower the speed limit from 20 miles per hour to 15 miles
per hour for the Venice Middle School speed zone along Center Road.

Sgt. Darrel Seckendorf – SSO Council Member – Requested trimming of the
vegetation on North Shade for the Brookside Middle School zone and
investigate creating a school zone on Bee Ridge Road to reduce the speed of
vehicles turning into North Shade.
