--------------· The NBA announces on 10/13/98 that it has canceled the first two weeks of the 1998-99 season
because of the stalled collective bargaining negotiations with the NBPA. This includes all games
originally scheduled to be played through November 16.
· The NBA announces on 10/28/98 that it has cancelled all games through 11/03/98 and indefinitely
postponed the entire 1998-99 season because of stalled collective bargaining negotiations with the
NBPA.
· The NBA announces on 10/28/98 that the regular season game between San Antonio and the L.A.
Clippers, scheduled for 12/12/98 in Mexico City, has been canceled because of the stalled collective
bargaining negotiations with the NBPA. An NBA regular season game will be played in Mexico City in
December, 1999.
· The NBA announces the cancellation of the 1999 NBA All-Star Weekend, including the Annoual NBA
All-Star Game scheduled for 2/14/99 in Philadelphia.

October 16 because of the stalled collective bargaining negotiations with the NBPA.
· The NBA announces on 10/5/98 that all 114 preseason games for 1998 have been canceled because of
