Carolina, Marvin is a graduate of
East Carolina University.
Marvin has been forecasting weather
in eastern North Carolina for 34
years. The American Meteorological
Society has upgraded Marvin’s “Seal
of Approval” to “Certified Broadcast
Meteorologist.” This higher level
of certification was obtained with
additional education and training.

Marvin has been married to his wife,

Mormon Tabernacle Choir as they
record a performance for the longestrunning radio broadcast of its kind in
the U.S. After lunch we travel to Moab

stay in Moab. Today we explore
Arches National Park with an expert
local guide. This is the world’s largest
concentration of natural sandstone
arches, which are the result of
erosion and weathering. A boxed

Monument Valley
Dead Horse Point State Park,
considered Utah’s most spectacular
state park. Scenic overlooks provide
breathtaking panoramas of sculptured

Visit Newspaper Rock, one of the
finest examples of petroglyphs in the
United States. We also visit the Edge
of the Cedars State Park Museum to
view an impressive collection of Native
American artifacts. After an included
lunch, we discover Goosenecks State
Park. Here, we overlook the San Juan
River, its course zigzagging more than
six miles in less than one linear mile!
We then venture to the Monument
Valley Visitor Center. The rugged,
untouched beauty of this area has
been used to portray the Old West in
many motion picture and television

Day 5: the grand Canyon
Today is truly one of the highlights
of our adventure as we visit the
awe-inspiring Grand Canyon! Stretching
227 miles along the Colorado River,
the Grand Canyon varies from four to
an incredible eighteen miles in width
and reaches a depth of almost a mile
below the South Rim. Enjoy photo
and viewing stops from spectacular
overlooks. Your Tour DIrector will lead
excursions to offer the most complete

located in Grand Canyon National Park.

Our first stop of the day is at the Desert
View Lookout to take in the sweeping
panoramas and surreal landscapes
that surround us. We’ll then visit the
J.W. Powell Memorial Museum to
learn about the fascinating life of John
Petroglyphs
Zion Canyon is a spectacular example
of cliff and canyon landscapes, carved
by the Virgin River over millions of
years. We explore the park by tram
and learn about the history and
geology of the region. View soaring
cliffs, lofty waterfalls and rock formations, described as thrones, steeples
and cathedrals. Later, we unpack
for two relaxing nights in the Bryce
Canyon area. B

Rimmed by pine and aspen forests, Bryce
Canyon National Park is a marvelous
viewing experience. The park is a natural
wonderland of towering spires and
erosion-sculpted rocks called hoodoos.
We make several photo stops along
our route. This afternoon is free for
additional sightseeing. This evening,
we’ll enjoy live entertainment and
an included Cowboy Dinner at

We’ll visit the Bryce Museum, featuring
a large collection of taxidermied animals
and one of the finest butterfly collections

Guaranteed Prices Holiday Vacations’
published tour prices are based on the rates
known at the time of publication and are
expected to be in effect at the time of departure. Once we have received your deposit,
your price is guaranteed, and any subsequent price increase is at our expense.
Reservations Make reservations well in
advance. Space requested by phone will be
held for five business days, pending receipt
of the required deposit by mail, telephone
or in person. Reservations made after the
indicated final payment due date must be
paid in full at the time of reservation.
A Deposit Of $200 Per Person A deposit
must accompany all reservation requests.
Personal check, money order, Discover,
MasterCard or VISA are acceptable forms
of payment. The deposit is fully refundable
prior to the final payment due date.
Hazardous Materials Federal law forbids
the carriage of hazardous materials
aboard aircraft in your luggage or on
your person. A violation can result in
five years imprisonment and penalties
of $250,000 or more (49 U.S.C. 5124).
Hazardous materials include explosives,
compressed gases, flammable liquids
and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives
and radioactive materials. Examples:
Paints, lighter fluid, fireworks, tear gases,
oxygen bottles, and radio-pharmaceuticals. There are special exceptions for
small quantities (up to 70 ounces total)
of medicinal and toilet articles carried in
your luggage and certain smoking materials carried on your person. For further

and amount will be indicated on your tour
invoice deposit receipt. We accept credit
cards but appreciate final payments to
be made by check or money order.
Airport Departure Cities Departure cities
are subject to change due to limited or
discontinued airline service. The availability
of airline seats may be limited from each
departure city. Holiday Vacations reserves
the right to provide ground transportation
to or from a larger or alternate airport.
Special Requests Individual requests must
be made when booking. Requests for (non)
smoking, special dietary needs, and adjoining, handicap accessible or other room
types are subject to confirmation and
cannot be guaranteed.
Departure From Cities Not Listed
You may request a departure from a
city not listed. Holiday’s air department
will determine the feasibility of your
request and advise you of any additional
cost, if applicable.
Surcharges Included Tour prices are
guaranteed and include airfare, federal taxes,
airport security charges, airline segment fees,
airport passenger facility charges and fuel
surcharges, if applicable. International airfare
also includes applicable airport fees and
taxes assessed by individual countries. Airline
luggage fees are an additional charge and
are payable directly to the airlines at check-in.
Land Only Price You may request a land
only price. If the tour is purchased as
land only, it will be your responsibility to
meet the group at the arrival airport at
the time designated by Holiday Vacations.
If you prefer, you can join the tour at the
first night’s hotel. Taxi or other airport
transfer costs are not included for
independent arrival or departure.

miles to travelers booked on a group reservation. Holiday Vacations is happy to submit
your frequent flyer number to the airlines,
but makes no guarantee that full mileage
will be awarded.
Tour Participation The ability to perform
assorted levels of activity while traveling
varies between each individual. Although
we welcome your questions regarding the
amount of activity on any tour, Holiday
Vacations is unable to determine your
travel health and fitness level. Please
consult your doctor with questions when
evaluating your ability to travel.
Persons Needing Special Assistance
Holiday Vacations does not provide personal attendant services. Any disability
requiring special attention should be
reported to us at the time you make your
reservation. We will make reasonable
attempts to accommodate special needs,
but we are not responsible for any denial
of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants,
and other independent suppliers. Travelers
requiring extraordinary assistance must
be accompanied by a companion who
is capable of and totally responsible for
providing the necessary assistance.
Children On Tour Children traveling on
tour must be at least eight years old and
accompanied by an adult.
Reservation Changes Requests for
changes in flight schedules, early or
extended hotel stays or for other eligible
components of the tour should be made
prior to the final payment date. A nonrefundable processing fee of $50 per
person will apply for any change requested prior to the final payment date and
$100 per person for any change requested
on or after the final payment date. These
fees are in addition to any costs or
penalties from suppliers.
Insurance Holiday Vacations recognizes
the value and importance of travel
insurance for our customers. We offer
an optional Travel Protection Plan, which
includes accident and sickness coverage,
baggage protection, trip interruption and
cancellation insurance. An insurance brochure will be sent with your tour invoice
deposit receipt or may be requested in
advance. For your convenience, the insurance premium is included in the balance
Solo Travelers Holiday Vacations
welcomes solo travelers. We will try to
assist in arranging a roommate for any
person wishing to share accommodations
at the double occupancy tour rate. Should
a shared arrangement not be available,
the single price applies.
Triple & Quad These accommodations
are usually in rooms with two double
beds. A rollaway bed or cot is subject
to availability on a request basis.
Reservation Name/Identification
The requirement to collect your date
of birth, gender and full name as it
appears on the government issued
photo identification you will use on
your tour is federally mandated by the
Transportation Security Administration.

Passport Required
(FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL)
Your Passport must be valid for 6 months
from the end date of your tour. It is Holiday
Vacations’ policy that all tours traveling
outside of the United States require a valid
U.S. Passport in the form of a Passport
book. Passport cards and enhanced
driver’s licenses are NOT acceptable forms
of identification for any Holiday Vacations
tour traveling outside of the United States.
Tour Documents Tour packets will be
mailed at least ten days before your tour
departure date. This material includes tour
pickup location and time, a tour itinerary,
hotel list and luggage tag.
Gratuities Tips for all the included
features of your tour (baggage handling,
included meals, etc.) will be taken care
of by your Tour Director. Tips for meals
on your own or for other services are
at your discretion. Customary tips for
the Tour Director & Driver are on a
voluntary basis and given individually.
Suggested gratuities will be provided
with your tour documents.
Train Routes & Schedules Please note
that train schedules and/or routes are
subject to change by railroad passenger
services. No liability shall be incurred by
Holiday Vacations for subsequent changes
to train schedules and/or routes.
Cruise Line Charges Additional fees
applied by the cruise lines are not
included in your tour price. These fees
include but are not limited to: daily
service charge for cabin & wait staff,
specialty restaurant cover charges
and optional shore excursions.

On tour, each person is allowed
one suitcase which will be handled

Additional pieces of luggage will be
handled for you at hotels at a cost
