What are Transferable Skills? • Transferable skills are the skills you acquire during any activity in your life – that can be applied at a later stage in other situations – e.g. they are transferable. • You can acquire these skills through all sorts of activities – employment, projects, voluntary work, hobbies, sports, almost any area of your life. From the employers perspective once you have acquired a skill you then have the capacity to transfer it into their organisation and develop it further e.g. Skill Progression.
