Helpful Hints
Clarence Bird
1. Keep your headlights clear with car
wax. Just wipe ordinary car wax on
your headlights. It contains special
water repellents that will prevent that
messy mixture from accumulating on
your lights.
2. Fog-proof your windshield with shaving cream. Spray some shaving
cream on the inside of your windshield and wipe it off with paper towels. Shaving cream has many of the
same ingredients found in commercial
defoggers.

Student Profile
Alma Tubman
Alma is a life-long resident of Thessalon.
In her spare time, she likes to bake and
clean. Alma returned to school, “So I
could get my diploma before my son,” she
told the Gazette. She has already completed her math credit and is currently
working towards two English and one
history credit. When asked about her
views on adult learning and the classroom setting at Thessalon Adult Learning
Centre, Alma said, “It is very good. You
can upgrade and in this class you have the
help you need.” Great work Alma!
Nathan, a resident of Thessalon, was born
in Blue Mountain, Ontario. In his spare,
time he likes to play video games and guitar.
Nathan has returned to school to achieve his
Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Currently, he is studying geography and history
through Thessalon’s credit program. When
asked about Adult Education he said, “I
think it is pretty cool, better than my former
high school. It is convenient being in Thessalon and the teachers are pretty cool too.”
Nathan hopes to apply to Midway Lumber
Mill in the near future. Good luck Nathan!
