Nice to meet you,
my name is Gordan and I am a Graphic Designer with strong technical
knowledge and over 10 years of professional experience.
Recently, I have been upskilling in the area of Web Design with HTML and
CSS (HTML and CSS beginner-intermediate evening course) and Motion
Graphics with Adobe After Effects.
Enrolled in Web Development Course in Dublin starting from September
2015 (certificated; duration: 60 hours; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Design
software and tools).

Senior Graphic Designer and Account Manager
Borovac i Bence – Design and Marketing Agency, Zagreb (2008 – December 2014)
Work in the agency is complex and dynamic, but above all very engaging and versatile.
I was typically in charge of the projects requiring Branding and Design of digital and print media. Among others, this includes:
– Beverage labeling and packaging design
Involved with a beverage production industry for 6 years as senior account manager for leading Croatian beverage label. In recent years, I have designed number of
labels and beverage brand logos. Through various circulations, I sign-approved printing of a total of more than 40.000.000 label pieces for hypermarket chains such
as: Billa, Kaufland, Lidl, Mercator, Metro, Plodine and Spar. In addition, a year-long professional cooperation with Elopak, manufacturer of liquid food packaging,
regarding the manufacturing of nectar packages. As in the above, this collaboration includes design, cross-communication with a client and printing studio, quality
control of the press and printing proof approval. I was also involved with food package design and one of the projects I made in that area was the master design of
complete HOBBY packaging programme (animal food brand by Vitakraft – categorized as: HOBBY Dog, HOBBY Cat and HOBBY Vit), Vitakraft’s premium food type,
which is applied to different package formats: pate cups, cans and bags. In the internal VITAKRAFT competition, that included all European branches, my design
concept won and became the Vitakraft’s packaging template for international markets.
– Corporate identity design and Event identity design
Trough the years, I created a lot of visual identities for different kind of companies and events, related to the activity they are engaged in, which includes logo
design and it’s standards guide. For example, I made identities for clients such as non-profit organizations, lawyer’s offices, food and drink brands, IT companies,
various professional associations, bars and restaurants, campaigns at the national level, some of which are associated with the European Commission (one of
the biggest was: Full visual identity of the campaign – The European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme, Implementation of the Lifelong Learning
Programme in Croatia), sporting events, etc. …
– Books and magazines layout
Regardless of the genre and format, I consider design and prepress of various publications to be one of the basic skills of my profession. In order to get an
exceptional final product, sometimes it is good to be familiar with the types of graphic materials and characteristics of certain printing techniques.
– Promotional campaign
To work within a multidisciplinary team.
– Illustration
Different types of illustrations for various purposes – from pictograms to such complex artwork for the poster or book cover.
