beach ! Time was spent relaxing in the spa, and swimming in the pool at the Resort.

Message from our CEO
On Thursday 19 June 2014 the legislation required for the introduction of the WA NDIS My Way
system was passed through the Western Australian Parliament. This provides the legislative mandate
required by the Disability Services Commission (the Commission) to implement the trial of the NDIS
My Way Model in the Lower South West region and then in the cities of Cockburn and Kwinana. In
addition to the above these reforms will eventually also be introduced across other parts of WA. There
will be many challenges that lie ahead as these reforms are rolled out. The one constant in all of this is
that the State and Commonwealth Governments and Disability Sector Organisations in WA are united
in their commitment to support people with disability to live their lives their way. At the present time
Midway Community Care is not involved in one of the areas mention but it is keeping abreast of the
information that is being supplied by the Commission in readiness for the future.
