HOPE STATION’S YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
The participants of the Hope Station Youth Leadership spent a day at Sadler in late April learning about healthy communities. Chris Harrington, a Dickinson College mentor, led a class on the 7 habits for being an effective teen in the community. Carlisle Area Health & Wellness Foundation provided
the youth with a healthy breakfast and Becca Raley, Interim Executive Director for CAHWF, led activities on adolescent wellness and good nutrition,
which featured a Healthy Neighborhood Walking Audit. Elaine Herstek, Executive Director of Sadler, also gave instruction on the importance of living
in a healthy community.
The Hope Station Youth Leadership Program’s goal is to recruit, train, encourage and develop caring individuals to participate in community leadership
activities and responsibilities.
