Does God hate gay people? Homosexuality and the Gospel 1

Does God hate gay people?
Homosexuality and the Gospel
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the
kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually
immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex
with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor
slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of
God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were
washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name
of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Key points

God doesn’t make a difference between the other sins listed
here and homosexuality. Neither should we.

God loved us even though we sin. That’s grace.

God has washed, sanctified and justified all sinners who come to
Jesus, homosexuality included.

This outline is to help you follow the talk. You may use it to take notes, to
make a particularly helpful point, to write down how God is speaking to you,
perhaps growing you and instructing you to change or to raise a question for
future discussion.
We are to treat gay people the same as we would treat any
other sinner on this list, we are to love and welcome and share
the gospel with them.
