An Act providing that all laws, statutes, orders, decrees, RULES AND REGULATIONS REGULATING THE OBSERVANCE OF THE LORD’S THE DAY BE APPLICABLE TO FEBRUARY TWENTY-SECOND AND FIRST MONDAY OF SEPTEMBER. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: Clause Eighteenth of section 7of chapter 4of the General 1 2 Laws is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence, as 3 amended, and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: 4 “Legal holiday” shall include January first, February twenty- i -5 second, April nineteenth, May thirtieth, July fourth, the first 6 Monday of September, October twelfth, November eleventh, 7 Thanksgiving day and Chr stmas day, or the day following 8 when any of the five day first mentioned, October twelfth, 9 November eleventh, or Chr itmas day occurs on Sunday; and 10 the public offices shall be dosed on all of said days; and all 11 laws, statutes, orders, decre 3s, rules and regulations regulating observance of the Lord’ day shall be applicable to February £l213 the twenty-second and the first Monday of September, and to Ma 14 thirtieth and November eleventh between the hours of seven 15 o’clock antemeridian and one o’clock postmeridian, or during 16 the same hours on the day following when May thirtieth or 17 November eleventh occurs on Sunday, except that on May 18 thirtieth, or on the day following when May thirtieth occurs on 19 Sunday, florist shops may be kept open all of said day, and HOUSI No. 1192.
