How to change your Dialup Number in Windows 98/95
1. From the Windows Desktop (the main screen with all the icons),
double click on the "My Computer" icon
2. Double click on "Dial Up Networking"
3. You should now see a screen that looks similar to this.
4. Click your RIGHT mouse button on the "Brightnet" (or "bnin.net") icon - VERY
IMPORTANT: Use the Right button, not the left button. Click once only, do not
double-click. Select the "Properties" option from the pop-up menu that appears. If you
do not see a pop-up menu with a properties option, you have double-clicked the
icon. Try again using the right mouse button.
5. Enter the new telephone number in the place provided, and turn off the "Use area code
and Dialing Properties" option if it is selected. Once you have finished entering the new
phone number and have checked that it is correct, click on the "OK" Button. Close the
"Dial Up Networking" screen (click the "X" button). You should now be able to connect
to the internet as normal, with the new connection number. You have now completed this
procedure.
